I used to love beatnic, ever since their By Chloe days. But they keep taking the only things I’m coming for off the menu. Not sure if this is across locations, but there seems to be no ceasar salad anymore ( at least at the Williamsburg location)( it’s not an option on any delivery app anymore)and that after they got rid of the brocoli melt. There’s really no reason for me to eat here anymore sadly.

Don't get me wrong, the employees are wonderful and very kind. That said, there's some kind of management issue here because half of the time when I walk in there's no one at the counter. Last night I waited around 10-15 minutes for someone to come out. I normally would have left but I work nearby and we were given neighbor discount vouchers so it's not like I was paying full price.I'm not vegan, but I was at one point for an extended period of time and still love and appreciate good plant-based food. And that's not what they're serving. The sauces are delicious but the burgers themselves are bland and the fries (regular more so than the sweet potato) are unseasoned and soggy right out of the bag.It all just feels very weird and off, especially at the price point. I guess that's what happens when you forcibly remove the founder and soul of the business. I'm glad Chloe won the rights to her name and no longer has to be associated with this shell of a company.

This place is great but WHY did you add gluten to the fries??? It makes no sense! French fries are one of the best guilty pleasures for people who can’t eat gluten. They were better before you guys added gluten to them. Go back to the old version!!

I definitely like this location better than the Manhattan one — it’s more spacious, staff is a bit friendlier, and the food is good.2023 edit: well it’s definitely not By Chloe anymore. I really miss the barley mushroom soup. But staff is still friendly, place is still spacious, they’re still 100% vegan. If you never knew what By Chloe was you will like this place. If you did then you probably won’t enjoy it as much.

Reliable vegan restaurant chain with a spacious, airy dining area. The service is usually slow, but the sandwiches and salads are consistently delicious.

I have ordered via grub hub to beatnic and the restaurant has exceeded expectations both times. The quality and the timeleyness of the take out was amazing. I will gladly use this restaurant again for lunch.

When I learned (super dang late) that by Chloe was reopening with signature items again i was excited to go and eat the spicy thai salad i missed for what... 2 years now?! I also got the kale caesar (great) and mac n cheez (also great) but I was so sad my Thai salad had no dressing on it! I also think they should go back to the other tempeh style instead of deep friend. I saved the 2nd salad to eat last and was just real disappointed.

I like the food here however, when they mess up your food there is no way to fix it! Their phone is disconnected so you can't call and they don't respond to emails in a timely fashion. I was delivered the wrong meal (had my name on it, they just prepared it incorrectly) and wanted my correct lunch, however there is no way to get in contact with anyone. Paid $20 for a lunch that I can't eat and no one is able to help me. Can we get some customer service please? If you're not going to allow us to call you then please answer our emails quick enough to fix problems like this. Ridiculous.

The Mac and cheese was not good. Thank you to the awesome kid who fixed it and told me it'd be the best mac I ever had, he didn't lie. Figure out who it was and give that kid a bonus.I've never had a good experience here and he saved the day. Thanks.

Soggy fries, dry burger. Also the place looks empty and there is no atmosphere at all. I’ve had wayyyyy better vegan fast food. Don’t go here!

Overpriced, average food. Burger was tasty, but nothing special--kind of small for $11, left me hungry; plain white burger bun, just some lettuce tomato and a little onion.

We came here as we were staying in the Pod Brooklyn Hotel so this was next door. Portions are really small and it was just ok. Not amazing, not terribly bad.The place was quite cold which didn't really help to make the restaurant feel cosy.

I don’t know what these reviewers are talking about but I really like the vegan burger here! I had the classic burger with sweet potato fries. Love how the patty was huge and packed with all the yummy ingredients such as lentil and pea protein. I found the burger to be very tasty! Reasonably priced too. I’ll definitely go back to try their other burgers. Well done!

Overrated and expensive. It was definitely not worth all the hype! I got the chicken and fries and it was just alright the chicken was kind of dry and the fries were too hard.

Really good, wholesome, and reasonably priced, with super friendly staff, and nice open (Covid spaced) seating. I wandered in bci was staying next door. Support this place and keep it around! Only criticism: they should use real, or at least compostable, utensils

Chain restaurant with a limited menu. The dish was fine, interesting sure, but overall I found the menu underwhelming.I’m not vegan but go to them often enough with a friend and have enjoyed other spots more. Maybe because this is a chain so there’s no chef in the kitchen thinking of dishes? Anyways, good enough if you’re looking for vegan, but I wish there were a few more choices on the menu.

I normally go to Bleecker street but I was in Brooklyn and found by Chloe in Williamsburg. I wanted to treat my daughter to some treats and was so happy with their tasty vegan cupcakes, cookies and donuts. It doesn't taste like a traditional donut but man what a great cake taste. I didn't care that it wasn't a donut, my daughter and I still inhaled it with great happiness. Very professional and friendly service. Place was empty thanks to Covid-19 but still worth the visit.

i was honestly disappointed with my order from by chloe. i ordered the big dill combo with a gluten-free bun. the burger itself was just okay and the bun was dry. i don’t necessarily regret it because i was so hungry and it wasn’t totally inedible, i’m just saying it wasn’t worth the $15. it took a little while to get my order once it was placed, but i had no problem with that considering i was not in a rush and i could tell they were probably understaffed. the cashier who took my order was very sweet the whole time and apologized for the wait. i reassured her it was no problem and she still gave me a cookie along with my order for the inconvenience. i want to reiterate that the problem with my experience lies within the ‘quality of food to price ratio’ rather than a customer service issue. in fact, i thought the service i received from the cashier was above and beyond most other check out experiences i have received on a daily basis. i want to give by chloe another chance because as someone with many dietary restrictions (gluten free and vegan) due to health issues it’s very difficult to find healthy-ish comfort food. i’m just not okay spending $15 on a burger and fry combo that’s mediocre at best. the fries were good though. taste just like mcdonald’s but without all the grease.update 1/14/21:i had the chicky chicky strips and they were very good. if you’re gluten intolerant i would recommend just going with the chicken strips. very tasty and honestly more satisfying than the burger. the fries are also good.

I’ve eaten a lot of vegan food, and I have to say not liking the food from by chloe made me a little disappointed! I’ve had a CBD brownie from sweets by chloe years back, but when I returned a few days ago it was a let down. I have it three stars because there is a large selection to choose from and the menu catered to many different people and their dietary restrictions. I absolutely hated the mac and cheese and I am a huge pasta lover so I was insanely disappointed. It was crusty, over cooked, and oddly stiff to the taste. I enjoyed the Avocado BLT sandwich the most and if I returned, would probably order just that. As well, I ordered fries and the portion was so tiny! It also came with a beet dipping sauce which I wasn’t too fond of. Apart from this, I thank by chloe for the socially distanced tables and for the large selection.

I've only had takeout from here, but the presentation in the takeout is honestly the best I've ever seen. Came in a reusable bag and all of the food are in containers with clever phrases on the outside. And the food itself was fantastic! I'm so glad I stumbled upon this gem on Postmates.

Great vegan food with reasonable prices. Outside seating is available to follow current COVID dining restrictions, but the tables are small. They can seat 2 people, but would be most comfortable for 1 person. Also, there was no shading to cover outdoor seating so this may be better for evening dining or as a to-go order unless you like getting blasted by hot summer sun (we did not). Overall, the food was enjoyed by both veg*ns and non-veg*ns in our party and definitely worth a trip.

As a Vegan, this place is my GO TO for reliable, fast comfort food. Part of a larger chain, By Chloe, has several other restaurants in NYC. All of themHave a similar menu. I’ve tried quite a few dishes at BC, and here’s my recommendation:Crispy Chick’n Sandwich/ Chick’n Tenders: This is AHhhhhmazing. I love it made spicy with hot sauce and the fresh slaw on top. It’s essentially their Chick’n tenders put together to form a “patty” so you have to eat carefully so it doesn’t fall out of the bun.Caesar Salad: Also delicious, must try. The croutons are a bit hard to eat, but they’re also GF with some maple flavor.Macaroni and Cheese: THIS is what keeps me coming back. I love their creamy, cheesy flavor/dairy-free sauce. It’s magic that comes in two sizes and it’s perfect. The only item I wasn’t crazy about was the Elote Corn. It was too spicy with not enough cheesy flavor.other than that their other sides like soup and fries are all top tier.

Definitely a great place for vegan options with legitimate vegetables unlike other brands. Quick service, friendly staff, a little bit pricey for the portion but I have to say it ends up being worth it and wouldn't stray me from getting it over and over again.

Ordered with Caviar. The location makes the food exactly as supposed to be! I have found the quality at Rock Plaza location poor... dry mac & cheese....But in BK it was luscious and meatball sub incredible! I am an omnivore foodie and this meatball has same texture and seasonings... and the toppings are magnificent! I grew up eating REAL meatball subs yet somehow this blows away the ones with meat just in flavor and toppings! It's large so I ate half the order at a time. They threw in a cookie to my order! Didn't realize GF cookies could be so divine as regular ones... OMGGG. Each item I would technically expect to cost $3 LESS but it's so addicting it's like a treat! I wish their smoothies were on the delivery menu.
