Slater’s 50-50

I was very unimpressed with the Ahi poki salad. We had a large group, and it took quite a while to just get us drinks, even just waters. I believe everyone else enjoyed their food, but I just was not impressed.

We’ve been to slaters many times and we keep coming back because the food is absolutely delicious and the service is quick. The sweet potato fries are incredible! Oh, and Slaters is also dog friendly! We were very impressive by our server Kristina today. She was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend Slaters for lunch if you’re near liberty station.

Ordered a champagne, it was flat. Waitress brought an another said she wasn’t sure when the bottle had been opened. Ordered a burger medium rare it came really rare!!! Returned it for another. Took over 30 minutes for the first round of food to come out. Wasn’t like the place was busy!!! My husband ate his burger before my second burger came out. The waitress was apologetic though. The second burger was good so I might come back.

Food and service are good, but you can't build you own anymore, which was the main reason I went here. Now it's just another burger place (well, unless you're still obsessed with bacon on everything, then I suppose there's an attraction)Last time that we went, service was friendly but a bit slow even though they didn't seem particularly crowded.

Waited years to finally try the burger. A few friends recommend it. Had to be the most overrated and pricey burger in SD. The classic 50/50 had the limpest flattened egg, and the avocado was a thin smear of overripe paste, no slices of fresh avocado. The burger was also raw. Highly recommend avoiding this place unless you have a deal or happy hour. Food is mediocre. Service was great and beer selection good.

The appetizers were really good. The food afterwards was about average. Not the best, not the worst.The worst…was the service. Our waiter walked past our table several times without looking at our drinks or asking us for our orders. It took FAR too long to get asked if we needed anything for the check.Now I can say I checked this place off my bucket list with extreme prejudice. Average at best.

I go here for the sweet potato fri sauce (it's not gluten free). Large patio with heaters. Keep in mind airplane noise is frequent and load. If you like hefeweizen try Orange Avenue Wit - Coronado Brewing Co.

We celebrated with a large group of 45 people on the patio and we only took up half of the patio. The staff were amazing the food was delicious and a big variety.

This place was a dream come true while visiting San Diego. Everything we tried was a 10/10!Wings were super flavorful and not overly salty like some buffalo sauces can be. Fried Mac and cheese balls were perfectly seasoned and fried. My absolute favorite was the vampire dip. Garlic and melty cheese, what’s not to love!Our server, who’s name I couldn’t even repeat let alone spell, was delightful. Always checking in with us and making sure our dining experience was amazing. Shes the best!
