Our 1st visit. Maybe our last. Unfortunately we live on the East Coast. However, the burgers were excellent. Got the classic and bacon blue burgers. Also had a large onion ring. Sodas were cike products which I like. We sat outside at a small round table, which was fine for 2 people. This location is on the corner of 2 streets, which was wonderful.I'd recommend.

If you fancy a really good burger look no further ! Right in the village on La Jolla , friendly service and really good burgers but definitely on the expensive side . I will go back !

I was so excited to stop here for vegetarian nuggets. They didn’t bother to tell me they were out until they delivered my husband’s food, which took well over 20 min. So I ordered something else, and that took probably another 20-30 min to arrive even though there weren’t that many people there. After all that waiting, my “ancient grains burger” was just total mush. The veggies on my sandwich seemed fresh and my husband enjoyed his burger, but nothing to write home about. His onion rings were super oily. Overall, I ended up waiting an hour to eat one of the worst veggie burgers I’ve had in a long time.

We bought tickets to the Bird Acuarium but had two hours to kill before we could go in. We saw a place called Puesto and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately waiting time was 35-40 minutes so we saw Burger Lounge accross the street and decided to give it a try. The staff was very friendly, ordered two burgers, one with fries, two drinks and two kids meals and paid $48. We sat outside, 39 minutes later my wife goes in to check on our food and was told they were behind on orders. We waited a little more and right when I was ready to ask for a refund because we had to leave our food came out. We ate like in 5 minutes and took the kids meals with us. I had a bad experience but the food was good (I think, we ate too fast) I wish someone told me it was going to take that long so I could make the decision to wait or go somewhere else. I feel like I flushed $48 down the drain due to the bad experience.

Pros: The burgers are excellent and full of flavor; very tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Cons: The portion size on the large French fries is disappointing. Either I received the wrong size or it’s just small. Let’s face it, any burger connoisseur knows there must be a certain ratio of fries to bites of a burger. You must, at minimum, have 2-3 fries left as a chaser after your burger has been completely devoured. If there was an option for 4.5 stars, I would make it so.

Stopped here for a milkshake with family which weren't bad. It was enjoyable but seemed to take long to receive our order.We ordered fries which took forever to get and were disappointing. They took far too long to receive and were soggy, flaccid and unattractive. They appeared to have been microwaved or reheated under a lamp because they were just not fresh or delicious.I did not interact with many employees, but the cashier was not friendly and seemed to be in a bad mood. After the transaction was completed I handed her the clip board I signed on and she threw it back down on the table. Just not very welcoming or professional.Unfortunately I will not be patronizing this establishment again, far too many good places in San Diego to give this one another chance.

That little S.O.B. (burger) is worth its weight!! Burger Lounge is a little pricey, but it has the flavor to back it up. The fries were well cooked, but overall average in taste. For a small restaurant, it could have been cleaner. It wasn't dirty, but the garage cans should be emptied sooner. Small cans and a small storefront made it seem more unkept than it really was.

Update on the service in March 2022:The staff at the cash registers was not looking up at me when I was the next to be served. Worse, when someone walked passed those of us waiting in line to go directly to the counter, she was served right away, ahead of the people in line who were just 2 steps away.When I eventually got to the counter, the smallish lady was very rude when I told her my order number displayed on my phone. I said I wasn’t sure what name was on the Google Food order. She had absolutely no smile on her face and just stared at me saying, “We use name!” She reminds me of an infamous famous character in Seinfeld who served soup. The food took 25 minutes from the time of the order, 10 minutes longer than the promised 15. There was no acknowledgement of the lateness or any expression of apology at all.Original review from 2021 when I gave them 5 stars:One of the places that have consistently very good burgers that are juicy, tasty, and cooked right. You get a thick, high-quality beef patty in a bun that's also made well. For the prices they charge, these burgers are great deals!

I got my order for pickup around 4pm today. First timer. Initial thoughts were the burger was flavorful and best onion rings ever. Unfortunately I’ve been with food poisoning shortly after I’ve finished my meal. Another downside was the kids meal was awful. Dry burger my kid would not eat, and pricey. Nobody would eat the chicken bites, they looked burned and I tried one, it was so dry and tasted burnt. The burger was so good that I really didn’t want it to be so, that it would made me sick. Maybe the onion rings are way too greasy? That’s all I’ve eaten today. Now I’m paying for it double, sick while I’m on vacation celebrating my kids birthday. ??‍??

Expensive and they missed several items from my order. Went back in to request the rest of the order and the gentleman at the register was a little on the cranky side. Food was good, not worth what I paid. I did appreciate the variety of plant based options but I don't think I'd go again.

The service was excellent. Everyone will a mask and kept their distance as much as possible. They even paid attention that some of our group was adding mustard to the sandwiches and brought out extra without even being asked. Above and beyond service. The hamburgers are fried but very good quality. The French fries were excellent. Overall definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for a burger in la Jolla.

Delicious hamburger, all homemade, the price is good too, I recommend it. I found the internal space small and the location of the bathroom bad, but the bathroom was very clean and sanitized.

I ordered the chicken sandwich and my wife ordered a hamburger It was very good and tasty and the customer service was awesome I would definitely eat here again especially if you're looking for a good meal that won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Nice simple menu with solid choices. The quality of food was good. Portion sizes were small but the quality made up for it. This location is small but it has a nice outdoor seating area that you can watch the world go by

Die Qualität und der Garpunkt sind Göttlich, die Portion war deutlich over the top, ich habe noch nie zuvor einen Single Burger mit Pommes und Zwiebelringen nicht geschafft...In allen Kriterien hat die Burger Lounge überzeugt, Qualität und Quantität, ich war mehrfach da und werde im Sommer wieder zu Euch kommen, aus Überzeugung....I've eaten a lot of burgers in my 55 years, good ones and not so good ones, and I've eaten burgers here. The quality and the cooking point are divine, the portion was clearly over the top, I've never failed to make a single burger with fries and onion rings...The Burger Lounge was convincing in all criteria, quality and quantity, I have been there several times and will come back to you in the summer, out of conviction....

Great combination of ingredients, great recipe, very subtle and delicious and multi-dimensional. 3 to 5 p.m. on weekdays at 50% off which is fantastic, they are always busy with customers it's a great place. Recommended.PRIOR UPDATEExcellent! First of all this is grass fed beef. So that's good. Love the chain love the energy and love the burgers. The other sandwiches are very good as well. I definitely recommend Burger lounge and if you try the happy hour from 3 to 5 you can get half-price burgers and other items so that's a real special thing since it is a premium-priced burger and the additions can lead to astronomical price Burger lounge is a modern premium chain that never runs out of customers. Recommended. Just be aware that it can get prices so do what you can to choose smartly if you're on a budget.ORIGINALI love Burger Lounge. The energy is always good and the food is delicious. It's not cheap but it's always reliable and very very delicious. They have really good music and there are always people eating there. It's a recommend..

My order ticket (old school) slide under something and the cooks didn't realize my order was put in. I was reading so I didn't realize how much time had passed. Eventually I realized it had been 30 minutes. So I asked about, said burger.The workers immediately fixed the issue. It was an accident, without a doubt. The service was great. The food was better. Just don't eat gummies and read something interesting or you'll forget you even ordered amazing food.

Overpriced. Had to sit on a curb to eat my food, their bar seating was closed due to covid restrictions but there was six bar chairs not being used and my family of five could have easily used them, not sure why they were not in use. They were very understaffed and it took a while to order food. When we got the food, I was extremely disappointed by the portioning sizes, I ended up eating my burger, fries, and someone else’s fries and I left still very hungry. I do appreciate one of the waitress ladies there who got me extra sauce even though she was clearly very stressed about the high volume and lack of seating. what can I say, it was a busy summer night in La Jolla.

I can't say whether I'd go to a burger lounge again. The food was ok/good and the people were lovely, but the wait time was crazy and the price just way out of whack. Very expensive. I spent $50 for 3 burgers and fries, no drinks. That's Red Robin $$ and they have way more choices/toppings, etc. Grass fed is important to me, yes, but just something is amiss and I can't really put my finger on it. I guess it was just way too expensive for what you received.

Good food… but disappointed. Asked for mine plain with just ketchup; he asked for his without pickles. We saw as they took off all the topping off of mine after the fact when they realized (little pieces of lettuce still on the plate and on the bun…). And his tasted like pickles because they too had been removed. Ive worked in the restaurant industry before, when something is made wrong you REmake it, not remove toppings.

Delicious Truffle Swiss Mushroom burger. Fast and friendly service. They bring the food out to your table. Mostly outdoor seating with some bar seats inside.

We attended the La Jolla Christmas parade and found this place afterwards. It is a pretty small corner restaurant modeled after a 1950s type diner. There is 1 restroom, and I'm not entirely sure getting to the restroom is wheelchair accessible.There is a counter with diner barstools, and the counter faces a bunch of tall windows that appear to be able to open for an open air experience. They were closed when we were there. The place has large portions and decent prices for the amount of food you get.There is outside seating, and some of it is covered.I was happy to discover they have dairy free, cashew based, milkshakes.
