Charley's Old Fashioned Hamburgers

Great place to eat on a pretty day. The food was great I got the Great Big Burger. The place is a little pricey but definitely worth a try. Friendly staff and old fashioned burgers!

Really good hamburger joint! My burgers are always hot, made to order, really fresh toppings, toasted bun, and terrific fries. Charley’s fries aren’t crunchy, they are hand cut softer fries! Just the way I like them! For those wanting something more crispy, they have delicious tater tots and crispy onion rings. I have gotten the Jr CheeseBurger Meal ($6.75) several times and it’s a great value. The patty is thin, but it’s fine if you’re not famished. The side of fries is generous and it comes with a small drink. The regular size burger are definitely for a bigger appetite. Not much seating inside during peak times, but plenty outside seating. I think a lot of people get takeout from Charley’s. The employees are very nice, but if it’s busy they move fast. So be ready with your order. If you want a GOOD old fashioned flat top burger experience, I highly recommend Charley’s!

OMG! This place is awesome! Reminds me of homemade burgers. I was so full... but still wanted to eat every piece of food in my basket! The building next door is extra, unsupervised seating, and the restrooms. There is a camera in there. Never knew this place was there! You have to try them.

I love coming here for a good burger and milkshake. The fries and tator tots are delicious, seasoned, and crispy. The milkshakes are also delicious and they offer a variety of flavors.Inside seating is small but I really enjoy sitting down and enjoying the sound of the TV while eating and conversing. The inside seating area is always clean and I love the TCU decorations as well as the most recent decorations for valentines. The employees are always nice and go the extra step to make sure you get a good experience.Definitely an all time favorite spot and have been back weekly since finding this place.

We gave Charley's a try for the first time and it was great! From the old school ordering outside at the window to the look and atmosphere of the place, it was cool to see a throw back to my younger days. The food was fantastic, my cheeseburger had fresh veggies, the bun was soft and the home cut fries tasted awesome. We sat outside at a picnic table and enjoyed the food and weather. Will definitely be there again and will bring more family.

Charley's hasn't changed much in the close to 40 years that we've been going. Good-sized burgers with fresh trimmings, a double if you want one. The serving of fries is generous and freshly-cooked, and appear to be cut from whole potatoes in-house. There are a few tables inside, but on nice days opt for the patio - there's not much traffic on that end of Old Granbury Road.

Haven't been to Charley's in over a decade. The lettuce, tomatoes and onions were fresh but the pattty was dry and wasn't even warm. Unsure if I will be back. Service was friendly. Tots were crispy, good and warm.

This is mostly a take out service, however they have 3 tables for indoor sitting and a few more on the patio. They don't sell nothing else but hamburger, 6 options. The diameter of the hamburger I'll consider as large but the meat is thin, fried potatoes are long also but not flavor. The price is expensive, not sure if I will come back. For this reason I'll give 3 stars ⭐⭐ ⭐

2nd time to eat at Charley's. I am not sure what happened. Onion rings were terrible...received 8 and 7-1/2 of them landed in the trash...could only eat about 1/2 of the German burger. My wife had ordered the Frito Pie and most of it went into the trash. Cool atmosphere and the folks there are very nice....only saving grace.

This has been on the list of “need to try” places and I was pretty impressed.We never went inside to the seating area so not sure if you get table service. We ordered outside, plain cheeseburger and fries as well as the blue cheese burger with onion rings.Burger was delicious, lots of blue cheese chunks too. Onion rings looked incredible but were kind of cold and just okay.Loved the outdoor seating, especially on a beautiful day. Fries were very good, and they have Big Red fountain drink. I felt it was a little pricy for the size of the burger but I don’t mind paying for good food.Will def have to come back and try another burger.

I have been going to Charley's for a couple years now. Best burgers in town! With that being said, the past two visits in the last two months, employees are making food with no gloves. This is a food safety concern and I'd hate for someone to get sick. Please make sure your employees understand the importance of Food Safety and Cross Contamination. We'd love to keep coming back but grabbing lettuce, tomatoes, onions, meat, etc. with no gloves is a big No No!

The burger was the size of happy meal burger. It was missing the onion and tomatoes. I ordered it with everything on it. Too much mustard and the lettuce was sliced into strips. The onion rings were another story. They were over sized and flavorless. It was as if they cut the onion in half and pushed down the individual rings of the onion threw them in some light batter and fried them up. The chocolate malt had chunks of malt all in it which made it difficult to drink and enjoy. I have wanted to try this place forever. I was highly disappointed and let down.

What else can I say, when you have a craving for a good old fashion burger this is the place to go. It might seem a bit pricey when ordering. But let me tell you, it os worth it. Fresh cut fries and onion rings, a good amount of them. This is a yum place to to go!

Definitely one of theBEST mouthwatering ???BURGERSpotsin Fort Worth.Family friendly, delicious food, lots of options-shakes, fries, tots, onion rings, hot dogs, sandwiches.Not the fastest service but definitely worth the wait; CALL and ORDER AHEAD to-go then eat outside.Inside dining is a bit cramped but plenty of outdoor picnic tables and even a closed off area for kids to play. Great place for a beautiful sunny day ☀️?or warm summer evening??

It's such a cute little place!.There are two indoor dining areasand outdoor patio seating. So , plenty of room even though it looks small.The burgers are good. Nice and juicy.I judge all my burgers on four pointswith a 1-5 scale.*Buns -4They were soft. Not too sweet. Not bland.*Meat-2 nice and tender. Very juicy!Not seasoned or even salted, at all.Made it kind of bland. I added salt at the table. Made it better but still not great.*Veggies-3 I love my burgers loaded with veggies. There was a good amount but I would've like a little more.But they were nice and fresh!!* Overall flavor/texture experience -3It's a good burger.Definitely better than fast food.But I probably won't go back.They are a little pricey.And for the price, I want my meat to have flavor !Go try it for yourself though.The people are great.The fries are super.And the onion rings are some of the biggest, fattest, juiciest and crunchiest I have ever had!!! ( Had to add a little salt, tho')? Still fantastic!

Been here a few times when we go too Cooks hospital, absolutely amazing burgers, the staff is kind and our orders have been 100% correct and delivered fast and steaming hot!I definitely recommend this place for some delicious burgers at a great price!

The food is made to order, but the wait time is long. Quite pricey for a cheeseburger with an ok flavor. No other sauces available other than ketchup.

A bit slow for a burger joint, but well worth the wait if you have time. Portions are great and everything on the menu is darned tasty. They've been there a long time and for good reason. The burgers are what they're known for, and I love them, but I'd suggest giving a little of everything a shot. Especially the hotdog and super thick malts.

The food there is delicious...but let me help you ahead of time: 1. If you have special food CHECK IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE. 2. Park where you can hear them call your number, or at least put on plenty of sunscreen...dine in is closed right now and you will be waiting about 20 min 3. A burger by itself is enough to fill me up....and I can eat! 4. If you like spicy food, try the project x burger....it's amazing.

I have tried this place 2 times now. Hoping that it was just a bad day for them the first time. Both times my burger were wrong,meat was dry.and the sides were soggy And in feel it was a lil over priced for what I got

This is a fort Worth treasure from before the toll road and the transplant using Google and yelp, can't go wrong with something as classic as a cheese burger and fries. They also have some great onion rings. I have been coming hear since before I could text and still enjoy it like it's the first time.

Charlie's is a fun throwback to 50's/60's burger stand style. Their burgers are really good on the fast food scale. Service can take a little time, especially on a nice day when it gets crowded. Overall, worth the trip.

The food was very good. My wife had avocado burger with out bacon and I had the project "x" burger with more raw onions. Both of the burgers were made very well good spice and flavor. Definitely worth the price. But the reason thay did not get a five star is because the food took 30 minutes to come to us thay were not very busy; so if it is taking time that mean it will come out right. But that was not the case my wife asked no bacon and it had bacon I asked for raw onion with the grill onion and my burger didn't have it. We ask for a to fix the burger and that took another 25 minutes before we got our food. So food was good but the time it took to get it and the mistakes were less then great.

Ordered chili dog, onion rings, and fries.The chili dog was good (Nathan's). The problem it was on a hamburger bun. The fries were good. The onion rings are a joke. They split an onion in half (circle), pulled the layers apart, battered four humongous pieces, and fried.Not planning on returning.

Very disappointed. I used to love this place and the hamburgers. I doubt I will come back. The burgers are just very greasy no matter which one you order and the onion rings just not edible. Slicing an onion in half dipping it in batter then frying is not an onion ring. Overcooked on the outside under cooked on the inside, then there is the whole just slicing an onion in half instead of slicing the onions thin enough to actually eat. This place doesn't seem to care anymore about food quality.

After my purchase, heading home l was caught in construction on the highway. After a 20 minute delay l reacted home with the late Charlies lunch. I can't imagine it better because it was awesome Even tho it was just partly warm. Delicious, the closest to southern made burger and fries you will ever experience.
