It was my first time here. I hate to give it three stars, I wish I could give it three and a half. Unfortunately our pizzas took over 45 minutes to come out. There was no explanation or apologies. When we got our pizza The dough was still kind of raw in the middle of our pizzas. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be or if there was a problem in the kitchen and they were just pushing them out too quickly. Also there wasn't really enough sauce for me. I'm not a big fan of the sauce on top instead of in the middle of the dough and cheese. Overall compared to other pizza places I feel like the pizza is kind of overpriced for the size you get. Our server was great, the atmosphere was nice but unfortunately I didn't care for their pizza. This is just my own opinion of the pizza, I know it's a popular place.

So happy to see vegan/dairy-free options at Emmy Squared! I had the Artie Bucco pizza and it was one of the best vegan pizzas I've had in Charlotte. (Also saw there were GF options!)

Never Again. Ordered a squared pizza through DoorDash and the pizza arrived cold. The dough was gooey and undercooked. The presentation was sloppy and underwhelming. I should’ve went with my 1st instinct and ordered Pizza Hut - would’ve paid less and been happier.

We came on a Sunday, not busy at all. Not only was the Good Paulie Pizza amazing but Valerie, our server was the best. Super sweet, personable and provided great service! The atmosphere was inviting! Would come back.

I've been wanting to try. Parking is difficult, no validation for garage.Ordered a salad and pizza with Emily. I was the only one in the restaurant. I get home with my order to discover my salad is missing an ingredient (there's only 3 ingrediants to begin with) and they forgot the miso dressing! I called the manager Sean to let him know, he just said "sorry". They need to drum up repeat business this is not how to do it. It's not about the comp, it's the principle. I doubt I'll be going back, too many other restaurants.

Took my mother out for a South End adventure and ended up at Emmy Squared and as the pizza lover that I am decided to try it out. I was not disappointed, the service was great and engaging. The menu was concise and had a few palate pleasers I am sure to try in the future. The vibe was right and that just topped it off...will be back soon.

Tl;dr: tasty food, good service, doesn't quite hit the value for money.Had a really easy time getting reservations here for a Saturday evening. Ordered a beer, sweet tea, garlic sticks, and a pizza with pepperoni, basil, and calabrian chillies.Service was good, they brought extra napkins without asking, checked on us, and did everything except refill the drinks without asking. No complaints. The alegash white in a can was $8 and the sweet tea was $3. Can came with a frosted glass, which was a nice touch. The garlic sticks were delicious. At $11, you get a solid appetizer that hits the spot. Only complaint there would be the fact that it was a bit oily but that's Detroit style. The pizza itself, while delicious, was where things fell short. A pizza with (too little) sauce and cheese starts at $16. Pepperoni was $3, calabrian chillies were $3, and basil was $2. The only topping that felt integrated to the pizza was the pepperoni. A spoonful of chillies and a half torn leaf of basil was just placed on each slice. Also, don't pay for the basil, it's a stupid rip off.Might end up back there but would be an easy or definite stop.

Kinda pains me to say this, but I left feeling there are much better value option for this type of food and style of atmosphere. We had a Big Ang pizza, an Emmy burger, and an order of fries. Added one neat bourbon drink for him and one premade frozen margarita drink for her and it was $90+ after 20% tip. We made a 6:30 reservation and walked in a few minutes late due to finding parking in South End and the host said “Oh I was about to take you off the list.” That seemed a little stuck up for a place that does pizza and burgers but it’s just words. We were sat in the only booth left which was a two top by the bathroom. It smelled like sewage. Our server was kind and good. No one knew what bourbons they had or what price points those were. Our food took quite some time to arrive. The burger was dry and pretzel bun was not great. Pizza was very good if you like that style but not the best in Charlotte or in my top 5. Fries were comparable to Chick-Fil-A but were $7 and don’t come with the burger. I usually try to stay very positive about restaurants because so many people in the service industry are trying to make it all work out and they deserve our patience and positivity. That said, this feels like New York prices without anything worth paying that much for. If you’re going to a chef driven unique concept and unique atmosphere $70-$120 date night is not a big deal, when it’s burger and pizza and not executed absolutely perfectly it stands out as a disappointing experience. You can get better pizza and better burgers for 50-60% of the cost elsewhere in town, perhaps even in South End. TBH I had burger and fries from a food truck the day before that was better quality and taste for $10-12.

Pizza isn’t very good and the chicken parm was over cooked. Our order was Togo but we live walking distance. It could of just been an off night?

My mom ordered me pizza from this spot and it was over cooked than usual. Normally I get the Nashville chicken pizza but surprisingly they took it off the menu. It was one of my favs however I tried the MVP and honestly it’s a lot of sauces. I’m a texture person so I wasn’t really feeling it although it wasn’t all bad. Just not my style and definitely not as good as the Nashville hot. I complained a bit because I paid a good price and the manager Sean was very understanding. Honestly he showed very good customer service, he listened to my concern and offered to make me another pizza. Since I remembered the chicken being so good and crispy, on the Nashville, I got the chicken Salsa Pico sandwich, and WOW I’m not going to hold you, it was very delicious and it came with two pieces. It’s something about that sauce. Sean even offered to throw in some fries because I still had $8 to fulfill my order. I thought that was very sincere. I don’t even care for pizza much at all since I ate it so much as a kid but I started liking it more once I discovered the Nashville pizza from this spot. I hope they bring it back! I rarely leave reviews but when I do, it’s impactful whether good or bad so shout out to this spot. Btw the ambiance is top tier period. It’s giving date night.

Much like Emmy squared the pizza has exponential flavor. Get it? Flavor to the second power? Anyway, if you’re lucky, you’ll have Zara serving you, she was a delight, and made a great meal an even better experience
