Hella Good Burger

Tried the place one afternoon and was very satisfied. Just wanted a solid burger and fries and that is what we got. There are lots of options to choose from in the food court, but I would go back. We tried the Hella Good Burger, Chicken Sando, and the loaded fries. All were good and get agains.

The first burger double patties was 7/10 due to it wasnt even warm and the bottom bun was soggy. Now the pickles I think are awesome, and the patties was perfectly cooked. The western burger was cooked well too but the onion ring was soggy so it was just mushy breading and the bbq sauce isn't for me but the choice in bacon was just right so i give it 7/10. The hella dirty fries unfortunately wasn't hot either and overall was good but wasn't hella good and dirty. i had more cheese and bacon and warmed it up and so that took it from 6 to an 8/10. Definitely isn't something to order to be delivered because it wasn't hot at all but will go to the spot next time.

It's really just a counter, but there's plenty of places to sit and enjoy your meal in the square, so it's not an issue, but don't expect "atmosphere ".I may have been on edibles but they had the perfect waffle fries --chrispy warm clouds of potato.The smash burger was so tasty. I really can't say anything bad about it. Will try again when I'm sober and reevaluate.

Visiting my sister here on the left coast and we decided to pop into San Jose's super cute San Pedro Square. We heard music coming from the back porch on the north side and wandered into the Market building only to find a plethora of great smelling shops on our way to the music. Being famished from the long travel day i had quite the appetite. We saddled up to Hella Good Burger and ordered. I had the blue cheese burger while listening toa a fun yacht rock band. The food came out plenty fast just as I was getting my first sip of beer while getting to know the band. The burger was great and the fries and shake as well. The burger has plenty of blue cheese, creamy but not thin, and a great spread of bacon bits and sweet grilled onions. The buttered and grilled bun held up well while I munched on the 1/3 pound patty.A bit more than half the time I go out for a burger or a steak I'm thinking in the back of my head 'I make better meat than this.'. Tonight was one of those other nights.Will we return to the cute San Pedro Square? You bet! Will we return to Hella Good Burger? If I'm looking for a satisfying patty with great flavor - I'm all in!

One of the places at San Pedro Square and it’s Hella Good, just like the name! Got the chicken nuggets meal for the kid which included fries and a drink and the hella fried chicken burger. ALL of it was so crispy, moist, tasty, delicious. The coleslaw in the fried chicken sandwich was not overwhelming and it all was well balanced. We all enjoyed it!

This place just opened in San Pedro Square and decided to check it out. I ordered the “hella double” which has 2 patties. I also ordered some fries on the side. I really liked how it tasted very different from fast food burgers. It was not super greasy. The grilled onions were really good too. The amount of meat was great. Definitely planning to come back!

It's pricey for what you get and they use sweet pickles so that's a choice. The food is good - but in no timeline is it HELLA good

I got the fried chicken sandwich which was sweet and savory and super delicious. It was also pretty big.A bit expensive at $14 just for the sandwich, (fries are extra 4).

Hella Not a good burger. It was average at best. Just not tasty enough for the price. After ordering, it takes forever to get the food. The name simply did not live up to it. I tipped $5.00 because they were young workers but not for the food.

Hella Veggie - truly amazing, so delicious?. Never had a burger with a layer of Cilantro leaves , WOW! Take one bite and after precisely 5 seconds flavors will burst in your mouth. Just try it! Hats off to whoever invented this burger. Surely a delicacy, no regular fast food. Loved it ?

It’s decent but the pricing is too high to justify the flavour. Like other reviews mentioned, there are plenty of burger alternatives for cheaper for same/better taste. No real combos, so you pay for fries/drink separately. They’re also overpriced. I like super duper burger more!

Fries were simply plain, not enough crisp. 5/10Burger was 7/10The meat in it was great, toppings like lettuce and tomato look old.The bun was a definite 10!Price of the food doesn't quite match up with the taste overall. Sorry.

Great burger. The burger stand has a bar opposite and easy seating in the market.I had a hella good burger and fries. The sauce has a hint of bbq flavor and the fries were good. Will definitely visit again!

Let me run through what's going to happen. You're going to wait an hour and a half after you place your order. Then you're going to ask "what happened to our order?" then they'll say "coming right up". You'll finally get your food after waiting for close to two hours. But then you find out a $20+ meal with burger and fries tastes like wet McDonald's.

Ordered a burger without a bun. They don’t have a to-go box for it. The staff are rude, unhelpful and just plain not interested in customer service. Asked for condiments, they don’t have them. Food is under salted, and I’m guessing they don’t have that either. You’d get a better meal at any other place in San Pedro Square. So unappetizing.

Undeniable goodness! ? This place MADE me a burger person because of their delicious Hella Veggie. It’s made with a savory falafel patty that you just know is fresh from that first bite. The fries & secret sauce pairing was such a great side addition… my taste buds were having a party. Next time I’ll try their take on the classic milkshake. It makes me wish I could fast-forward time lol

Hella Good indeed. I ordered the Hella Single Burger and it was a well balanced burger. Excellent crunch with the lettuce and pickles, and the bun was also hella hella good. Delish fries too, crispy with the skin on…I’ll be back.

We got the waffle fries with cheese and bacon. The bacon was delicious, the fries were good, and the cheese was terrible. I definitely won't get this again.

The cashier was nice. The burger was pretty good, but there are many better options at the price. The shake was very good, but still, there are better options at the price. The total cost for the meal was $26 (including tip) for the burger and shake. Good food, but there's many more economical burger & shake restaurants in the area.

We stopped by the market before the last sharks game for dinner. I loved the veggie burger- so fresh and tasty. We ordered ahead on toast to help with game timing, made dinner pre game so easy!

Had the burger and milkshake, it was very tasty. I liked how the staff were very friendly and just seemed happy to be there. Nice for a change as most places seem to hav problems hiring friendly staff. Best burger I've had in San Jose.

Great new burger spot downtown! I most recently had the veggie burger and its one of my new favorites. We also got a Hella Good Burger and it was really delicious-- I appreciate that they use high quality meats, unlike many other quick options.

I'm a bit torn over this review, but I can't let them off the hook. There aren't very many places where I can get a good pastrami sandwich. As much as I like Togo's, I've got to venture out and spread my wings every so often.As a side note, I couldn't order another burger because I had just eaten a burger at a different spot a few days ago. If I return to order a burger at a later time, I'll change the review because you should always try to order the house special during a review.Sorry, I've digressed, back to the review.As far as the sandwich is concerned, it was in my top three. The buns they use at this place are spectacular and the sandwich was fresh off the grill. I might add that it was fresh because there was hair in the first one they made, so I got another really quickly.The cooks apologized, but if you're not going to wear hair nets (which I don't necessarily mind), these things happen. As an owner the cost will come out of your bottom line, so it's really up to managers to decide if it's worth it.While the sandwich was top notch, it was also over priced. It was $15 for an a la carte sandwich. I'm over the opinion that all burgers and sandwich orders should come with a side. It seems like it's a pretty easy value add, but I also don't know the price of potatoes right now.In summary, if you're looking for some good food and you've got money to burn, you should at least try it. If anything, the atmosphere of San Pedro Square is worth the trip.

I’m so sorry but this place is awful. Tried it once and the burger was flavorless, and completely overpriced. Tried it again with someone, and both our meals were bland and flavorless. The burgers are so bland, like I don’t understand how you could have so many ingredients in the burger, and still coke out bland. And it’s extremely overpriced for what it is. Only giving it 2 stars cus of the employees.

This was a Hella Mid Burger. I got the Hella Insane Burger which is basically their normal burger with an extra pattie. This was just a basic burger, no unique or special flavors. Just Hella basic
