It took a while but I finally got to visit and I am so glad I did. Waitress was the sweetest and attentive and the food did not disappoint!! ♥️. We will be back!!

The hardest part is trying to decide what to order. CFS to breakfast enchiladas to catfish to meatloaf......so many choices and we ain't got to the wonderful desserts

️This was my 2nd time visiting this location and even though it was a while ago and under a different name, I felt like this visit was much better. I came because of a business to business network meeting hosted by the local Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce.The private room where the meeting was held was the perfect size to seat all the guests comfortably so that we could all see and hear the main speakers. The doors to the room were a little bit open, but you still couldn't really overhear the other lunch time visitors on the other side of the restaurant. Our servers were nice and patiently waited as it took me some time to decide since there were a lot of items on the menu.Blue Mound Cafe - Saginaw is located right off ​Blue Mound Rd. and the NE Loop 820, ​j​ust walking distance from Motel 6, Great Western Inn, and Wells Fargo Bank. ​I​ think the new owners did a good facelift job to the place without losing the charm of a Texas cafe. ​I will return.

Fries were under cooked, the patty on the burger was good but it was cool and the cheese wasn't melted. Ingredients were great, could've been really good, I'll give them another try.

Really like this place. Hometown diner type feel. Friendly wait staff. Food served fast, very large meal - I made it into three meals! It’s better than when it used to be Dixie House.

My wife and I love Blue Mound Cafe. Patti and the whole staff make it a great dining experience. I recommend the Chicken fried chicken breakfast.

Had a great veggie omelet served by a very engaging waitress named Tree. Ate so fast I forgot to snap a pic of the meal, but it was deeeee-lish! Will definitely come again!!!?

The service was impeccable and friendly. The food was atrocious. Reheated hashbrowns, chewy and tough. Pale, undercooked chicken fried steak served with a congealed wallpaper paste gravy. Wife's toast came out actually just bread that was wet with margarine. Fine cup of coffee, at least.If you go, go on a weekend when they've got a rush on. The weekday cook is cutting all the corners and it shows. Again, service couldn't be nicer, but there is better breakfast food all over.

The waitress was awesome! She made the experience so much better. Food was delicious. The only thing was being charged $$ for salsa in a tiny little cup the size of a quarter. Other than that, it's very good.

It was good food but a little over priced and under staffed in my opinion. I will probably go back because my friend likes to meet here and it is a nice place to talk for awhile as well. All in all it's a good place.

What a great find! This place was hopping and now I know why! When you first walk in, there’s a case behind the host/hostess stand that displays all sorts of decadent desserts. It was a shame that I was too full to indulge. But that’s another reason to go back. ?I had the Miss Porky omelette, which was loaded with crispy bacon and cheddar. The egg was so tender, cooked perfectly. It came with hashbrowns and toast. I hate to admit that I ate every last bite because it was a very large portion. Prices were reasonable. It was a good value. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress was wonderful. It was just a great experience overall. And even though it was busy, we never felt rushed. No one was hustling us along as we lingered and chatted. If you’re in the area I highly recommend you give this one a try.

My 1st time here. Good food, friendly staff & i love the atmosphere. Was a lil pricey for my pocketbook but i plan to come back as soon as next payday will let me. Yes, i had to have a doggy bag. A plus for me is the sugar shaker on the table not packets. ?????

The only complaint we had is the ink colors on the menu made it hard for me to read. The pancakes were great! The chocked fried chicken is great and the bowl is great as well! Go here and eat.

Worth the wait.Weekend Lunch visit.Ordered breakfast around during a very busy rush. Once food was delivered wait staff apologized for the slow service that was due to insufficient kitchen staff.Great food, excellent and friendly service combined with an atmosphere that seem warm including a fire was a pleasant surprise on the road side.I recommend this place to anyone in the North Fort Worth Area.

My boyfriend an I went for breakfast., the food was good ., huge pankcakes and my eggs were cooked perfectly., but while the food was good., our service was even better!! Our server miss shelia was amazing! Made us feel like I was sitting at my grannies table waiting for breakfast.., she is the reason we will be returning! 10 stars for the servers at this location!!!!

Overpriced and understaffed. Took almost an hour for the food to come out. Atmosphere is nice and staff is friendly. Old man in front of me dropped his jaw on the floor when he heard it cost $10 for his coffee and pie.

Went to their new location on Belknap in Fort Worth. It was not good. I ordered a steak and it was terrible… now worth the 16.99. Service was amazing. Food is not. You’re better off making Kraft Mac n cheese. My wife ordered the garden house salad and she got lettuce and onion.

If you want country kitchen delicious food and service, this is the place. I love the Roy’s breakfast bowl and the mashed potatoes and chicken bowl, so filling and tasty. If you want good breakfast and want to feel like you’re in a home town kitchen, this is the place. Also fabulous waitresses and service every time we’ve been. ??

Something happened. Biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were dry and small, broke when cutting. Had to get extra gravy to eat it. Burger meat was dry and hard to chew. Coffee was good.

Went to the horse races in Grand Prairie and ended up staying night in DFW area. Found Blue Mound Cafe on way home Sunday morning. Wow! What a pleasant surprise from the interior to the food. This place has that down home feel and some great breakfast items! The staff dovetails off of that making you feel like you are family at your own kitchen table. Interior is up to date but somehow keeps that old school feel! It is pretty tough to pick out ONE thing that is above the rest but the whole experience ties in perfectly.!!!!

When I walked in I was greeted with smiling faces and a warm hello. The atmosphere feels warm and inviting. This can be your early morning breakfast, your afternoon stop, and even now your home cooked dinner place. The cleanliness was top notch. This is an open style restaurant where you do not feel cramped or going to be in someones way. Everything was homemade and baked fresh daily from their specials to the delicious pies. The wait staff was amazing as well as the management. They really make you feel like a family member.I ordered the #3 Ceelee Rae which was 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon or sausage and a choice of toast or biscuit and gravy. This food was awe inspiring the warmth of the biscuit and gravy was mouth watering. The eggs cooked to my liking. The hash browns and bacon was nice and crispy. This meal is a favorite. I want to go back for more and if my stomach would allow it I would eat the WHOLE menu. When I mean this is a MUST try you should have already been there when I started this review.

I moved out of Fort Worth/Blue Mound/Saginaw a couple of decades ago, and it was nice to be greeted with the same recipes and same flavors of the original JR's in Saginaw!

My first time there, complementary mimosas on weekends, my crazy potato was pretty good, it looks good and had great flavor, my husband's chicken fried steak tasted very good too and it was a big portion.Excellent service.

We won't be back!!Hamburger steak was really just a thin hamburger patty. Mashed potatoes were cold Green beans well alright.Hubby's meatloaf was ok.Son's plate had a piece of steel wool pad on it! ?

Had a great breakfast here, ate at one in Belknap, so figured it would be OK, but food was alot better at this location, seemed alot cleaner.
