Great bunch spot, with really lovely staff and atmosphere! We had the scrambled eggs and the eggs with beans which were both delicious! Can’t wait to come back for dinner!

My husband and I had a great lunch today. The fried chicken sandwich was delicious. But just as good was the wonderful people who work there. They made us feel welcome and were sooo nice and helpful.

Diner is a solid option for all day dining if you’re in the area. The staff are super friendly and they excel at elevated basics, think fried chicken caesar salad and an above average burger. The burger bun was a little flakey on top, i think they used brioche which can dry out if not proofed properly.They also have a pretty extensive natural wine list, which i guess is table stakes these days in any self-respecting williamsburg restaurant. The fries were excellent. I think dinner is more expansive and vibey but either way its one of the standouts in this neck of the woods.

the woman who was serving us was so sweet and really pretty, I hope she sees this or someone who is responsible for looking at the reviews or whatever shows this to her, she’s the server who’s kinda tall with strawberry blonde ish hair, she was wearing it in a ponytail the night I was there. well anyways, if you (the person responsible for reading the reviews or whatever) see this and she happens to be single, tell her I’d absolutely go on a date with her if she wanted even though she would never remember me or know who I am but yea she could look up my name I guess?

Had an unfortunate experience here. Service and food was super slow. Got there slightly early for a reservation. We ended up getting seated at our actual time, which was totally fine, but it took a while for them to take our order and come out with our food. The food wait was surprisingly very long (like 45 minutes).Once the food was there, my friend’s side of breakfast sausages was undercooked - it was pink. We returned it to the kitchen and they brought us another one, which also ended up being undercooked. Assuming it was properly cooked this time, even though it was slightly pink on the outside, we tried it and realized that it was also undercooked. But we still ended up sick that evening. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the last person to serve us showed true care for our poor experience.

Would always walk by and this place was always cracking so decided to have dinner one day. The server was great and the vibe of the whole place made the experience. The dishes and food were pretty basic though. Besides the burger, everything else tasted like something I could make at home so I’d probably only come back if they revamped the dishes and got more creative.

This place used to be good. When we ate there last Saturday 16 April 2022, the service was slow. We (group of 4) waited 5 minutes for menus, then 5 minutes to place drink order, then 10 minutes for drinks (all beer) to arrive. The food was very meh. Caesar salad dressing was too thick, the skate was so plain tasting, the burger dry, but the chicken got a positive review. Sad to see a place lose its spark. We won't be back.

Amazing food, ambiance and service! Our waitress was such a pleasure and made everything sound so appealing that our small group ended up sharing 4 plates. The Caesar salad was one of the best we’ve ever had and the Chicken, Mussels & Pork were phenomenal.

The food is actually good but today I came here with a friend and the service was atrocious. The staff was callous and seemingly high or something.To top things off at the end, they billed us for someone else’s food and only comped us the coffee. Have been here twice; will not be returning.

Great place for brunch/dinner. Feels like a classic diner inside with lots of seating outside too. The menu is a bit more upscale than a classic dinner menu - nice salad options as well as burgers, fish etc. Service was very friendly.

Long running Williamsburg institution serving well crafted New American dishes in a candle lit, vintage railcar. Go for the food and AmEx sponsored outdoor dining set-up. Be prepared for aloof service and the overall hipper-than-thou vibe.

Good food, great service and lovely outdoor seating! Love it when the servers are so friendly and smiling !The caeser salad was deliciously cheesy and crunchy, both the grass-fed burger and chicken were wholesome too! The sea bass was so-so but no complaints! The drinks were strong too which makes them worth the price.

Don't let the looks fool you. This vintage location comes with a vintage approach to it's limited, yet well-produced lunch menu. The burger here is to die for. It's big and round and the bun is soft on top and toasted on the inside providing great taste and texture. And they're grass-fed/grass-finished. Had just received my plate while dining al-fresco when a passer-by complimented the burger to a friend. That's how awesomely juicy this burger was, you could see it from the streets! Side of fries were deliciously complimentary as well. Was told to come back for dinner as the menu is more extensive. See you soon Diner!

Great little spot. The menu is small and they clearly put a lot into each dish. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for brunch but check the menu first to make sure they can accommodate any dietary restrictions.

Pretty good. But they brought our burger out as rare. They then re-cooked a burger and it was overcooked. Picky, but I expect better from a place that’s deemed high quality. Pork chop wasn’t the best too. Pricey for what we had.

They had a verbal menu I remember lol. We cut our loses at two drinks being like $42. Very weak pours. They would tell us the dishes without the prices so we didn’t want to play that game.

Space still has a great atmosphere. Fish was a bit over, beans were cold and inconsistently cooked. Caesar salad overdressed. Would come back for a burger and cocktail at the bar. Service not too attentive.

Great brunch, worth a trip. We got the heirloom tomato salad, French toast, fried chicken sandwich, shakshuka, egg sandwichs with bacon, and crispy potatoes aioli. All great options. The drinks are good too, Bloody Marys and the Reviver. Great atmosphere, and clean outdoor seating.

Stumbled into this place while wandering around Williamsburg in the snow - it was super cosy, inviting and looked cool. It was all of the above, with great food and cocktails too. Will definitely be back!

Diner was one of the first spots I had dinner in Brooklyn back in 2007. Then it was a scribble-the-day’s-specials-on-the-paper-tablecloth joint, with a few always-available-options, including a burger.It impressed me then, and today, now living just two blocks away, it continues to do so. Their Caesar salad has made it impossible for me to order one at any other restaurant. Fresh croutons, garlic and ‘chovies for days, bitter lettuces, and a snow-capped mountain of fresh parm.Their Burger, med-rare, is still a must.Beef tartar and a side of fries with Mayo. Sensations.Solid bar program with local and small batch distillers.

Beautiful food, lovely service. On the expensive side but it was worth it. Farm to table concept and everything was extremely well cooked. The portions are large. We had 3 appetisers and 1 main between 2 but it was a bit too much food.

Bit disappointing. Ambiance great but service non-existent. For Saturday brunch, we ended up waiting 45 minutes for our meals while other tables who came later got theirs. Waitstaff never came by to check on us or replenish drinks. Food was good but not the mouth-watering great that would make it worth a return visit.

I went here just for the burger that The Infatuation is raving about, and boy, it was definitely worth the hype. The burger here is from local, pasture-raised cows (which makes this burger even better) and Bradley Cooper even was here eating the burger here! What a culinary jewel.

As a neighbor it would be really convenient if this place was good… have attempted to enjoy a meal here more than once. Feels like everything is cooked with raw ingredients, no salt, pepper, anything. I wish OTB did weekday lunch.
