Went to Lucky's for lunch with a group of coworkers. I ordered a 1/2 lb burger with American cheese and green chile. Also got fries and a drink.The burger was good but the bun was slightly stale. It didn't affect the taste, just the texture. Fries were hot and crispy and had a fantastic bit of seasoning on them.There's really not much else to say about the food. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food. If you're looking for a good burger that doesn't try too hard and tastes like a burger is supposed to taste, then this is your place.

While out running around at a nearby location we decide to stop by Lucky's and check them out. First thoughts upon pulling into the parking lot was that it was very small and could be very difficult to find parking depending on time of day. It is in a very old part of town and the buildings show it. Once inside we were greeted right away by the owner and his smile. You can tell he loves what he does. After telling him we had never been in before he told us a bit about the place and what some favorite items might be. He told me he loved the 1/4 lb with cheese, green chile, bacon, thousand island (made in-house) with a little bbq sauce and all the fixings aka tomato, lettuce, onion and such. That sounded delicious so I made it a meal with fries and a vanilla milkshake since they were out of bananas, bummer. They had quite a few other flavors. The location is small and maybe six tables or so. The place was pretty busy , but we luckily found one of the last tables. My brother ordered the half lb burger with just cheese, lettuce, tomato and mustard/ketchup as well as a hot dog. Our food came out pretty quick and my burger looked and tasted phenomenal. My brother liked his burger, but the hot dog he said was horrible and way over cooked. He did not finish it. Fries were good, but I've had better. I really enjoyed my burger. Flavor was good. Milkshake was ok but tasted like made with premade items. Ceiling fans could use a good dusting, but other than that pretty clean. Again burger was great, service awesome and prices were really a good deal for the size of the burger and meal options.

Used to go to this place when first arriving in Phoenix area but forgot about until recently while driving around areaDecided to stop and have a burger and shake and glad I didStill as good as remembered. Will go back

Truly delicious. Honestly, I come here at least once a week. The food is so good and is made right to order. The shakes are amazing. Delicious, affordable, clean restaurant, not much more you can say!

I pulled in this plaza with all intentions of going to Subway, I changed my mind and decided to give it a try. Very clean dining room, great selection on the menu, I went with the corn dogs and a 1/4lb cheeseburger with all the fixings. Absolutely outstanding burger! Really good fresh squeezed lemonade! I have yet to find burgers and fries this good in the valley. It's a small mom and pop place and you can taste the love they put in their restaurant in their meals.

The owners are very nice and sweet! First time there and they hooked it up with fries which were very crispy and fresh! The burgers are amazing and the chicken sandwich is too! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the north side of town for sure! Make sure to try their shakes too! The Oreo milkshake always comes out toooooo goooood! There’s a reason why they were top 10 in America! (:

We had lunch at Lucky's Burgers & Shakes on 19th ave & Thunderbird. I never knew this burgers joint was here. Thanks to my Granddaughter she stopped in here,I ordered the 1/2 hamburger with fries and fresh squeezed lemonade .the lemonade was made just right not to sweet.the service was great. Were definitely coming back.Come check it out.??

I just moved here and my neice told me about this place. I love it and am so glad she told me about it! This just became my favorite place to eat here. The burgers taste just like my mom used to make and the fries are out of this world.

We tried Lucky's burgers for the first time. The burgers were absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly. The french fries tasted homemade and were freshly cooked. We bought the chocolate brownie malt and it was very good - just the perfect amount of sweetness. The owner was very friendly. We will definitely return@

We ordered cheeseburgers, but were served hamburgers. Guy claimed we did not order cheese... we also got fresh squeezed lemonade... it was watered down and a bit sugary, but food was good though, just was not pleased with the service.

Delicious burgers! Very friendly people, and very clean. The price is actually really reasonable even with the inflation situation, there fries are REALLY tasty as well especially with their cheese sauce!

What a great place. If you balk at $15 burgers, like I do, this is the burger joint to go to. Charbroiled burgers, smash style, are done to perfection. Fries were super crispy and seasoned perfectly.

Fantastic burger and fries! I've driven by this place for years and never stopped in, then saw how great the reviews are and figured I'd try it. Wow! Did an In-and-Out style double double with their homemade 1000 Island dressing and was delicious, honestly enjoyed much more than In-and-Out. Saw someone else order the grilled chicken sandwich which looked amazing also. They also have all beef hotdogs, corndogs, BLTs, and shakes/malts. Also love 80s/90s music they are rocking along with the Elvis pictures on the wall. Seriously lives up to the review hype, don't let the outside make you drive by it, go in and try! My only regret is that I didn't try it sooner. Great food!

The burgers were amazing, the fries were perfectly crisp and I recommend a side of ranch with them. The thousand island sauce on the burgers was so good and the staff was extremely friendly, they even gave my ranch for free! Love this place and would recommend to everyone.

Best burger joint I’ve had in a while.. definitely going back when I return to Phoenix. Delicious and the lady making the lemonades is so cute freshly squeezed for sure. The gentlemen taking the orders was so nice and welcoming. Loved it .

Aaaaaaaw ? Lucky's old school decor and the food is great, they fix it exactly the way you like it. Oh my goodness the fries and shakes are delicious. You definitely need to stop by Lucky's Burgers. When in a hurry we call out order in and it's waiting on us. Prices are very reasonable. THE BLT IS AWESOME. We have no problem ordering both the Burger and the BLT ?...

A true mom and pop hamburger place, hella enjoyed my food. You were very nice and polite taking everyone's order while keeping track of mine as well. I saw people getting frustrated trying to rush you and you handled better than I would have. DEFINITELY am coming back

This place is great! I’m not a burger and fry person but it was delicious. Highly recommend the 1000 island on your burger. They were charbroiled and super flavorful. 2 burgers with toppings, fries & 2 milkshakes came to $35–well worth the price! New favorite burger place!

I ordered a double hamburger with sauce,and fries. The burger had a generic mom,and pop taste. Not awful,but not great. It's the type of bad burger you might crave every now,and then.The fries were delicious. Lastly, the women who took my order didn't have good customer service abilities.She didn't engage me in a kind manner.

We get shakes and food and it's ALWAYS great food and GREAT service. The woman in the back handles the kitchen well and the gentleman at the front makes sure all is well and running smoothly at all times.

Some of the best burgers, and chicken sandwiches I have ever eaten. Don't let its small place fool you. If you want a burger but are sick or the big name burger places you see on TV, I advise you give Lucky's a shot you will not be disappointed you will want more!

I found this place because it was on a best of Arizona list. I have been there twice and both times it did not disappoint. The owners are great. The burgers are fantastic. They make you fresh squeezed lemonade. This last time I got a cherry milkshake and it was, absolutely delicious. We will be back.

I feel bad for them, it's just the husband and wife working so there is a long wait for the food but once you get it it is so good! Best burgers I've had in a very, very long time!
