Gaslamp Burger

While spending an evening at Gaslamp Quarter, I visited this restaurant for dinner. My order was for a Veggie Burger and Fries. There are a few other vegetarian options, which makes this restaurant vegetarian-friendly. And this review happens to be the first one on a vegetarian order. They charge $0.50 for using Credit / Debit / Apple Pay as a transaction fee. You will notice a sign for it by the checkout counter. The restaurant was busy during my visit. So, there was a wait. My order took about ten minutes, which was okay with me. The burger tasted fine. I didn't expect a $15 burger to taste just fine. The fries were at room temperature and didn't have the right texture. And there could have been a smaller portion of the fries. I was finding it difficult to finish it. The staff who took my order and served it was courteous. When I needed a box to go, she quickly got me one. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and vibrant due to the crowd. Overall, my dining experience at Gaslamp Burger wasn't as expected!

This place has a charming and delightful atmosphere! The food was delicious; I opted for the Gaslamp Lounge burger with a gluten-free bun and fries, and it exceeded my expectations. Finding a place with a gluten-free bun was a challenge, so I was pleased that they offered it. If I find myself in San Diego again, I will definitely be stopping in.

The burgers are alright but definitely not worth the price. Also they don’t have tap water available, only overpriced water bottles. What kind of restaurant in California doesn’t provide free water??

When I arrived, there was a gentleman complaining that he was quoted 10 minutes and his food took 30 minutes. Now that was not my issue but good to note.My order came out incomplete, I was missing my main entree. The cashiers response was “ I forgot to charge for it”Clearly there is a service issue, the food we received was satisfactory.

We went because reviews said the burgers were good. We ended up taking the food to go, because there weren't any high chairs for our kids. We found the food to be mediocre. We got burgers, fries, and a salad. The salad was prepackaged and the lettuce wilted. The burgers and fries were fine. The location is around the corner from many bars, so I think this is a good option after you've stumbled out of one of those. The staff was friendly though.

The food is great, wait not long, and price just fine! The fries were amazingly perfect❣️❣️?????? They were light and crunchy, thin but still meaty, long, and not over-seasoned!! The burger was amazing❣️❣️❣️ The meat is from grass-fed cattle.We had the Gaslamp Burger, which is their House cheeseburger but with pickles, which was huge—thick-sliced onions, thick patty, big bun!!! Their online picture makes the burger look small in diameter, but I assure you it is not!They also have 4 different hotdogs, 10 appetizers, 3 shakes, 5 salads, 6 topped fries, and 7 coffee drinks, as well as 9 different burgers!!Thank You for being open from 11 am to 2 am, Sunday through Thursday, and 11 am to 3 am, Friday and Saturday—which saved us!!!

Great spot! I got the SD Burger and it melted in my mouth it was so good! The house sauce has just a little kick to it and the grass fed beef was very tasty! 10/10 would recommend

After flight delays and checking in much later than expected into my 5th Ave Hotel and, wanted something I could eat and drink in my room. Right on 5th Ave, there were several choices snf popped into Gaslamp burgers. Service was warm and friendly, with orders made fresh. Chose the Philly Cheese Steak Fries, and it was awesome. If you are staying in the gaslamp area, if San Diego give it a try as the menu, everything from burgers to salads!

Came here by accident because apparently doordash let us order from a nonexistent restaurant. Glad we did, the food was amazing. Definitely satisfied my craving for a fat burger. The fries were a tasty, generous amount and I didn't even use any ketchup. The employee, yousif, that was there tonight(11-22-21) by himself did an exceptional job. He was taking orders, making the food and everything all alone and I asked him about it. Even given the situation, he didn't even have so much as a grin and seemed in pretty good spirits still. That guy deserves some recognition for his hard work. He had a smile and didn't seem bothered by the circumstances one bit. I'd give him a raise for sure.

Saw this restaurant on way home today its another restaurant near my apartment so i was hungry and decided on this place ordered bbq bacon burger with fries and coke the burger was big and delicious fries were salted very good and the guy working there he did cashier and cooking and delivering to my table did a excellent job by himself the food was cooked perfect and was delicious

Walked inside to place our order, and the gentleman was very friendly. Ordered a philly cheesesteak burger with fries and a SD burger with fried zucchini, along with a beer and a soda. The tab was around $46 before the tip.The food didn't take too long to come out, and it was hot and fresh. The fried zucchini was really good, as were both burgersWe felt comfortable sitting outside, and I recommend this spot.

Less than par!! And Cesar salad shows shredded on the nice big menu fresh croutons. Came with grated cheap Parm and croutons from a store. Couldn't even tell if the beef was actually grass fed and was well done.

Hands down the best burger I have ever had. Tasty meat, crisp vegetables, good BBQ sauce and a giant onion ring. Took a big bite and fell in love. The best. And the fries were hot and salted just right. Definitely coming back.

Counter service burger joint with thick patties piled high with thick slices of fresh tomatoes and onions along with pickles and crisp iceberg lettuce. The side order of fries is enough for three adults to split. Casual environment. The burger is decent but very expensive for what you get.

The burgers are AMAZING and it's so convenient that they're open so late. Been here multiple times and the employees are great too. Please keep in mind that the people writing reviews stating this place is overpriced aren't considering that this is San Diego and most places in the area are charging the same for food and drinks.

Cashier was kinda rude and passive aggressive (male). Fries were limpy and could have been cooked in the fryer longer. Additionally, their chicken had the texture of a sad sponge. They open late which is the only good appealing thing they have.

Mediocre at best. Greasy and underwhelming. $24 for a burger fries and water. Very basic. Decent but I honestly wouldn't recommend it or return. Super salty limp fries. Disappointed but forKids they’d love it. Go in with low expectations and you’ll leave with a smile.

The Chilli Cheese Hotdog was absolutely amazing tasty.... yummy!!!!I will be hitting the Gaslamp Burgers up again to try one the Delicious Hamburgers with friends though next can't wait.

One of my favorite reasons to eat at Gaslamp Burgers is getting to meet the owners and seeing how much they care about their restaurant. They put forth so much effort to make sure their customers have a great experience and quality food. The burgers are great, prices are reasonable, and the location is just great.

Pretty good burger spot. The burgers are stacked high! French fries hot and crispy with a seasoning. Served on a wood round! The inside is very small, typical for downtown stuff. It's located near a lot of different stores and restaurants so we enjoyed the walk around afterwards as well.

The burgers here are incredible. The service was amazing. On top of that it cost less than everything in the Gas Lamp area on 5th and 6th street. The burgers are grass fed, lean and the bun was delicous. Go to this place and you will be happy.

Here they serve you more parents than the hamburger, but the hamburger is delicious, one of the best I've ever had, as are the potatoes. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of their salad, it was very down.

I've been to the "great" burger joints, Five guys, Shake Shack, etc. Gaslamp burgers are the real deal and give those other places a run for their money. The burgers are fresh, great portions, and well worth your time.

They had one of the best lettuce wrap burgers Ive ever had! Somehow they managed to have the lettuce actually shaped like a bun and stay crisp as opposed to other places I've been where the lettuce is all wet and soggy. Great start to my San Diego vacation weekend.

Great little place, simple menu and no Gaslamp pretense...just great food and great service. We were out late and wanted to grab a bite without having to deal with waiting lists and over priced menus. The staff was friendly and helpful, not in a programmed Stepford way but as genuine people. Stopped in here for a burger and fries, took it back to our room and enjoyed an amazing hamburger... great way to finish the night out!
