Burger House i was not satisfied with the purchase of my cheeseburger. The burger was mediocre and lacked flavor. Nevertheles, I enjoyed the shoestring cut french fries. The seasoning on them made them absolutely delicious! I will return just to give my taste buds the satisfaction of those fries 🍟 😋

Good old school burger joint. That seasoning they put on the fries is just good enough to get that extra star and make me come here vs the umpteen other old school burger places in Dallas.

I finally got to try this place. I love the onion rings. The milkshake is very good. The burger is a little thin but has great flavor. Passing thru.

They still have a great burger and tots! Great burger, fresh and hot, fresh veggies on the burger too. The tots and fries are sincere potatoes, not those extruded monstrosities some places call fries. Comfortable and clean seating, and great service. Next time I go there, I'll ask to have light salt on the potatoes, it was a little heavy, garlic salt and pepper. I like it, just not so much.

Doing some last minute Halloween custom costume material shopping and was starving to death!! Decided to swing in to this place and now I want to go back!! As soon as possible!! Amazing food, down home,family local atmosphere . Loved the chili cheese dog with Jack’s original fries. Ketchup is self served in a small cup!! Loved that!!! Great customer service too..

The hamburdog was insane, wouldn’t eat it everyday for fear of getting a heart attack but it’s definitely a must have. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. Place was clean and received my food quickly

I had a Chicken sandwich french fries and a medium drink. Which was good. Served hot and fresh. I have visited Burger House in the past. But it's been at least a couple of years. Since I no longer live in Dallas. Since I was in town on a business trip, and shopping at a near by location I decided to have lunch at the Burger House. I was of course not disappointed. I had a overall pleasant experience. the staff was polite and friendly. They handled my order promptly and efficiently. It was not very busy when I was there. Well lit and very clean. Plenty of parking etc. They have a extensive and varied menu. with good prices.

Their food is so tasty and good, but they have always been TOO PRICEY. I wish they would cut the prices down some, or have. Special sometimes.

I have been coming to Burger House since I was a child, let me tell you it's one of my favorite spots when we are craving home made burgers. Highly recommend this place if your wanting a home grilled type of burger ? and don't forget their seasoned fries so delicious. ?

First off, I'd like to say I come here quite often, maybe a few times a week or once a week so forth. Every other time, they've gotten my order correct with absolutely no problems but today, I came by around 9pm, and for the first time they screwed up my order.. how many times do I have to say "Chicken Fried Steak sandwich w/the fries", NOT"Chicken Tender Sandwich with fries" ?? that isn't even on y'alls menu!! Come on now...And on top of that, I even corrected the young gentleman multiple times at the window and still I wasn't given what I told them ??‍♀️very disappointed. Didn't even eat the sandwich. I'm sorry but chicken tenders don't go on sandwiches.Not to mention but I live alllllll the way in Rockwall too.

Been coming here for years, so I am nostalgically biased, great burgers and fries, the Mexican type seasoning on the fries and burgers is awesome, simple and delicious, their hot dogs and corny dogs are pretty legit as well

Totally different burgers & fries yet very loved by so many. When I was 5 I took my pennies to the original owner and I'd sit on the bar stool. I have enjoyed these hamburgers and FRENCH FRIES for many years.

A bunch of us went for lunch after moving a friend to Dallas. The freaking burgers are amazing and the fries were delicious. The chocolate milkshake, well I could’ve had 10 of them. Will definitely return when I go visit my friend!

I was told that Burger House was voted the best burger in Dallas. I will say this:. The cheeseburger was good, not great, but good. The onion rings were not good at all. They were very greasy, not crispy, tasted almost like they'd been sitting around for a bit and I went in the middle of lunch service. I would likely go back for a burger but definitely not the onion rings. Sonic has must better onion rings. Must be the difference in the batter...

We went for lunch, it started out rough, the lady taking our order was very distracted and I was worried she would mess it all up. The food was ready quickly, the order was correct. We got cheese fries, they were decent, our burgers were juicy and tasty but the real show stopper was the onion rings, they were amazing! I'm one of those people that only eats the small onion rings since I'm not a huge fan of onions and I ate half the basket, seasoned and cooked to perfection. We'll definitely be going back.

This review is long overdue, you see I first came to BH at the tender young age of 8 (thanks Dad!). Back then the only location was the one on Hillcrest and Jack himself was slinging the burgers. I LOVED it.Eventually the location on Mockingbird became my joint. The food was identical, and Jack had retired by then anyway. My typical order was a gut busting Double Double, Fries, and a chocolate malt. This might be one of the last places you can get a malt. There was a time during my 20's when I ate at Burger House 4 days a week. I'm going to go ahead and assign blame for my blood sugar issues with BH. But I don't even care. Eventually I had to drop the malt when my metabolism would no longer bear the stress.Now in an effort to repay the initial kindness, as my Dad is in an assisted living facility, and can't get there on his own, we have a standing date to have lunch at BH every few weeks.So, my review is this, go here, eat here often, you won't be sorry and your life will be greatly improved, even if the end result is diabetes (I know they have salads but lets be real). You must trust me on this as I am now approaching 50 years of delicious culinary decadence at the hands of Jack Koustoubardis. I regret nothing.

Fantastic. I don’t often leave reviews but the first bite or two of my chicken burger and the accompanying fries left me feeling like - wow! This is good ol’ classic burger and fries at its finest.Sesame bun alone is awesome - truly classic diner style. The chicken breast is pounded thin making it lighter and easier to eat. It’s bursting with excellent flavor with their special seasoning along with a great array/well arranged lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise. Easy to go down and digest and leaves one feeling great. The fries are excellent too and they give you a heaping portion. They are the kind that once you pop you can’t stop but they don’t feel overly salty.All this goodness for just around 7 bucks? Cool.

Burger House is a Lakewood institution that has built their business on the back of its great burgers and somehow, greater fries. Their community outreach and sponsorship of local schools' athletics programs has made it a community staple for decades. If you find yourself in Dallas, it is absolutely worth a visit.

They have catfish fillets option but give you pieces smaller than nuggets. I forgot to order a drink and let guy at window know before he charged me and he rolls eyes and walks away then later forgets to give me my fries but didn't forget to charge me for them.

The food was good. We showed up with a big group and they handled it very well. A small hole in the wall, but I liked the original burger taste. The only thing I did not expect was the size of the burger, I wish they were bigger.

Old time burger restaurant. I had a grilled cheese sandwich, onion rings, and chocolate shake. The grilled cheese was very unique, if you love melted cheesy goodness you'll love it like I did. They use a hamburger bun and it is pressed with a lot of melty American cheese. The bun isn't very toasty, but I still liked it. The shake was great, a lot of Hershey's chocolate that flavored the real ice cream shake. Perfect thickness, not too stiff to drink. The onion rings were not my favorite, but if you like the onion cooked soft, seasoned with salt and pepper then they might just be exactly what you want.

Burgers are really good and the place is just exactly as you would expect for a small family style burger joint with a vintage touch. Fries are very good with the flavored salt powder albeit it can turn out very salty sometimes.

Classic burgers or Zoe's chicken sandwich...even the chili cheese dogs rock. Also best french fry in town. Just bought my kids t-shirts. Very friendly staff

DELICIOUS!!!!one of the best cheeseburgers that i have ever had!We also got the chili-cheese dog and corn dog as well.Large fries could easily feed 2/3 people.Cozy family feel. Everyone was so friendly!Pricing was not bad for the food we paid $30 for a Double cheeseburger, single cheeseburger, hot dog, corn dog and large fries with 2 drinks!Check them out!!!
