Breakfast is still so delicious!! I used to come here all the time when I worked downtown in the early 2000’s. Now I drop by every now and then. Food is consistently good. Service is exceptional. Such a pleasant experience.

Fantastic diner - real-live lunch counter. This place earns every one of the four stars (I reserve five stars for the very best places I've ever been). We had two orders of onion rings to start (5), my wife had a fish sandwich (5), I had a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich and fries (6) and we each had fountain cokes (@2). Folks coming and going on a rainy day about 11:45 pm. Relaxing, clean, homey, not quiet, but not noisy. Attentive service from the three folks running the seven seats and four tables. I enjoyed myself thoroughly! $22.05 altogether for lunch.Parking is a big challenge on a weekday, but we lucked out: Go into the Houston or Elm entrance to the Dallas County Records/Tax Office building's underground parking - get as low as necessary to park in the back corner (the NE corner) - that elevator lets you out away from the records building in a little structure on the corner of Elm and market - directly across the street from the Record Grill! Parking's pricy: 61+ minutes, $10 - we got out for $7 - well worth it. We'll be back every chance we get.

We ate breakfast here every day while we attended a conference. For a tiny place they have great food and really good prices.

This place is one of the best in the city. Two downsides .... it's downtown and you have to pay for parking, and they are cash only.

Great diner food. I had the special, beef enchiladas with beans and rice. Hubby had a hamburger. Everything was awesome and just a block from the JFK museum in the former Texas Book Depository. Warning- it is cash only!

**Cash ONLY and no ATM Inside**Very Small Establishment with a few tables along wall and a bar for the rest.Offers daily specials with a variety of offerings.I tried the fried chicken, which was good, but cold when severed.Others in my group had hamburgers, which were pretty good but nothing exceptional.Staff was friendly and it was good for what it was but wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again.

We ordered a Bobber and a Spitfire and shared a cup of fries. The burgers are excellent, clearly using an exceptional grade of meat. The fries are shoestring, and nice and crispy. Note all burgers...
