American Burger Rivergate

This is one of the best burger joints in all of Charlotte. The staff are always friendly and outgoing. The burgers are fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place. You will not regret it.

We just found this place a few months ago and decided to give it a try after a disastrous experience at Five Guys. I was a little hesitant but I am so glad we tried it. We got the kids grilled cheese meal $6, our meals were about $10 a piece. He got the All American Burger and I got the Carolina Burger. We also had the tots and fries. The burgers were absolutely delicious!!!! The tots were cooked to perfection and the fries were delicious and crispy! It's a little different because they bring it out to you in a paper bag with your name and number but they also text you to let you know it's ready. Their ranch is the bomb too and made in house. They really are worth the they!

Easy to order...great selection of bugers and sandwiches. I had the lunch special American burger box. Great valve and a real to goodness full size burger, not a silver a meat that so many chains try to pass off. Friendly customer service...I'll go back

Customer service veas great. That's why they get 2 stars. But the food was average. I would say cookout taste about the same or better so for the price.... Eh not worth it. Actually went here looking for "little big burger" lol which is soooo good.

Shout out to Bobby, Destiny & Casey for going the extra mile and making my family the Hot Mess when I told them how disappointed I was it was taken off the menu. Best hamburger I’ve ever had!!!! We don’t get over here often and you made our day. Thank you!!!!

This is my 3rd time coming here with my 2 little ones and each time we had a great experience with all the staff and food is so good! But today was even better, Vaughn went out of his way to turn the outside lights and heat on for us so we could sit outside. My daughter had to use the bathroom so he not only brought our food to the table, he even stayed and watched our stuff until we came back. I didn't even ask him to do it but he was so thoughtful to. Then he came out to check on us to make sure we were okay. The staff is just amazing and I'm so grateful for them. My son just had surgery and will be needing another surgery soon so we are extra careful while we are out and this place definitely makes you feel comfortable. I hope management realizes how special their staff are. Thank you Vaughn and staff for just giving exceptional service.

Me and my husband decided to give this place a try being that we are dashers and we deliver from here all the time! We had a great experience. When we walked in our cashier that was standing there was very friendly. Help just pick our food as this was our first time. We didn’t wait long our food was hot and just amazing! We both got bacon cheese burgers they were so good cooked to perfection!! We also got aside of fries and cheese sticks! Those were both great! Cheese sticks were cooked perfectly! I have no teeth and I could eat them most places they are hard! Great experience all around and we will be back! Y’all stay awesome!!!!If you haven’t been you must try! My new go to wen I want a good burger!!

quality food and great people. If you want a phenomenal burger this is the place to go, very hearty and fresh. I highly recommend the monster mashup burger. The smoked brisket on it is wonderful. Call ahead so you don't have to wait.

Love this place! They have a vegan burger, yay! Every time we go the same guys are working & they are always pleasant & helpful! It's a little on the pricey side that's why I didn't give 5 stars. But employees make it worth it!

After getting home I realized my order was really off. I paid extra for several toppings and it ended up only having pickles on it. Also, it was so overcooked I had a hard time eating it

My boyfriend and I came on my 30 min lunch break at 1:35pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021. We ordered our food with the counter host who was friendly. We went to sit outside and wait for our order, but after waiting 20 minutes we received nothing. My boyfriend went to figure out what happened and was met with attitude from the female manager who didn’t seem to want to do her job. The host who took our order went to ask her what was going on and he never returned. Then my boyfriend went to another employee who then went to the female manager and that’s when he was met with the attitude and not good service. She said she would check on the food and never returned. After getting her attention again, she tells my boyfriend it’ll be done when it’s done in like 5 to 10 minutes when we get to it. After that ordeal, we asked for a refund. We were excited to try this place out, bu the service just wasn’t there.

Our experience in this establishment was more than the five star rating! The food is fresh and delicious. Even our 8 year old, picky-eater finished all the meal! I enjoyed their Route 44 burger and the sweet potato waffle fries (which come with a yummy side of cinnamon butter). We all wish we could personally thank the tall, fellow who made our shakes and brought them to our table. His pleasant attitude, especially at the very end of the evening, was a refreshing change in the midst of these challenging days.

I had a bad experience with the burger with 1000 island.. just a recommendation.. put the sauce on the side when ordering.. mine looks like an angry person made it.. empty store.. but mine had a gallon of sauce.. soaked the bread sooo bad, I returned it . Didn't want anything else.

Overpriced and overdone. Burgers and fries were not terrible, just not a solid value.For the price and time we waited, 5 Guys just across the intersection would have been better. The burgers were ordered medium-rare. Both came out well done. Toppings were also missing on one of them. Neither issues are worth flagging one of the staff down, but something you wouldn't hope to deal with. The soda is also slightly off taste.Also the restaurant wasn't really a sit down service (ex. Red Robbin) but still prompts for tipping at time of payment. Just a little odd.

Went to the location in Steel Creek today for the 1st time I ordered the chicken tender meal. It tasted like daycare center food. Thick cut fries need seasoning. The honey mustard sauce was excellent. My son ordered a burger it looked juicy.

You'll wait 25 minutes for a basic, no seasoning burger. Very mediocre for price. Fries slightly undercooked and left in warming tray until burgers were ready. So not "fresh". Unbelievably slow service. I wish I'd gone to McDonald's

First time order, visiting from out of town. The website, and prices lead you to believe that this is a premium burger/sandwich establishment. In reality it is just another fast food place with overcooked food served cold. Everything we ordered was dry, bland, and less than satisfying to eat or look at. I understand Uber orders won't be piping hot, but they are only ten minutes from the hotel, our food shouldn't have been cold. My 4 kids didn't eat their burgers, or chicken tenders, or fries. This place is way over priced, just save yourself the trouble and go through any drive through, where you know what you're getting up front.
