the burger i had was passable, but not something worth returning for. the fries were obviously old - stale, and yet somehow overly-greasy at the same time? and unprompted, they added what i think is a bunch of garlic powder on there. the environment itself is a little grimy - it seems rundown, dirty, and unkept. the displays to order had a really confusing and outdated user-interface, it took me forever to figure out how to order a simple meal. meanwhile, the service was a bit unfriendly, slow, and dismissive. the only good thing was the wide variety of games, which made the whole experience vaguely tolerable.

Such a cool idea - all the retro console games you could ever want. Like, thousands. A few stand-up arcade games too. Great place for party or just handout. Food is mediocre but who cares.

It's been a minute (like 5 years) I last visited and it's nice to see Action Burger alive and well. It's almost like hanging out in your basement, just with better food, drinks and video games. I'm definitely going to try to convince my better half to come along next.

Though we understood the direction towards arcade gaming that Action Burger took, it's simply was too congested, messy and unclean to be considered inviting. We ordered the Oreo Cookie Overload milkshake which contained multiple types of Oreos, vanilla ice cream and milk. Given the lacking texture of the shake, price, cash only policy, and laid back employees, we were fairly disappointed. Our hopes for the quality of the shake remained high given the hole in the wall nature of many restaurants in the area, but the sinking Oreo bits and overly sweet base of the milkshake gave us little reason to add Action Burger to our revisit list.

What i like about this place is the variety of retro games which I haven't played in soooo long. Me and my son enjoyed playing almost every console. The food itself was good which my son enjoyed his wings and I had the Toragon burger which was one of the best burgers I had.

Action Burger looked cool because of all the comics in the wall as decor and the videogames available however the food left alot to be desired. My friend ordered chicken and waffles: the waffles were cold and the chicken was overcooked and dry and skinny. I ordered the garlic truffle wings and fries: the wings were not cooked all the way through, couldn't really taste the truffle, the garlic part of it wasn't great. We both had fries on the side: they needed salt and were not hot enough to even put some on, they were cool so the salt wouldn't stick. My friend also had a watermelon lemonade (alcoholic) and it was not good at all. We needed extra sauces and things and it took us requesting multiple times to get it.

It's an awesome spot to come and play some retro games. And there's no charge to play any games! I come here to play Halo 1 and grab some french fries or something. Staff is really chill as well.

I used to come here all the time for several reasons. With and without my friends. Today I found out they discontinued my fav thing on the menu and then I didn't enjoy my food. I ordered a reg burger and honey BBQ fries and the cheese was cold. $20... sigh.. Maybe next time..

The concept was pretty cool they have all the old school Nintendo games. The Burger however was uncool. It was overcooked,bland, bread was not soft the cheese was even tasteless. I absolutely did not it enjoy it.

Pretty cool spot!! Def reminds me of like an arcade/restaurant that you'd see a 90s movie. Has all the old school arcade and video games, Mario kart, Battlestar Galactica etc. The food isn't bad either! Def a decent spot to get some decent greasey fast food & play a few games w your friends or even yourself while you wait for your food ?‍♀️

The burgers are trash. They gave me burnt bacon and a hard hamburger Bunn for $18. Not worth it at all. Don’t waste your time. Just go there for the the games.

I built my own burger and got the 5pc Honey Hennessy wings and fries. My friend got the Double Mac and Cheese burger and couldnt even finish it. We also had an order of Chipotle garlic wings. I would go back. Their wings are fried just right. My burger was super flavorful.Video games are free for all customers. We had the table with a Nintendo gamecube so we played some old school Mortal Kombat till our food came. Cool spot. Open late.

Cool concept but poor execution.Tips for management:Hire better cooks (if you’re selling food, you need customers to actually enjoy what they’re eating), Look at getting a bigger space & Hire an interior designer cause It looks like a low budget after school program.

Action burger is great for those "Kids at Heart" but great for anyone who loves Crazy burgers and fries and tons of video games and you can watch whatever FREE MOVIE they're playing at the time of your visit i recommend this place and the food is awesomely delicious.

I order food from Uber eats and this is all basing review on just the food not delivery service…Packaging: the packaging for delivery was good and my milkshake was well packaged. Most of the food was good temp!Food: The onion rings and burger were delivered in the same box. The onion rings were great! Still a little warm!! But the burger was burnt to a crisp and dry. I asked for medium and for well done! There was no option to add cheese to the burger and everything was extra to add on top. They were mindful of my food allergy and no ketchup was in the bag or food.Milkshake: milkshake was great! As mentioned packaged well!I would prob go again but maybe not get the burger.

I ordered a pickup from here. This was my first time ordering from here I order a action burger and French fries. I have to say the wait was very long for the order. The burger was well done like I ordered it but it was bland and the bun was stiff. French fries were basic Also the vibe is cool inside however the customer service isn’t that great.

Fun and unique place. Very accessible way to play some nostalgic video games, hangout with friends, have a few drinks and eat food for cheap. Owners are really nice and friendly too, have only had positive experiences here.

Had my son's 10th birthday here. He had a blast! I randomly discovered this place on Instagram because its really close to my best friends house. Action Burger has very affordable prices on tables and the food. Drinks were great and customer service was good. This is a great hangout spot. You definitely need to come here with your friends and family. Not many places like this left in NYC

I LOVE ACTION BURGER!!! I recommend this spot to literally everyone I know, from NYC natives to tourists—everyone has GOT to try Action Burger! These photos are from my 22nd birthday celebration. I celebrated with several friends, my partner, and my parents; we got a tower of alcohol, several meals, and played endless games through the night!The drinks are awesome, super tasty, and they will definitely get you drunk without the overpowering taste of alcohol :’)The food is INCREDIBLE—innovative, unique, delicious, and creative! Recipes I’ve never seen before!Parties here are always super fun, great spot to come to after a concert or event, late nights and lots of laughs! You can even reserve your own birthday party or wedding at Action Burger.This is also a small, Black-owned business, so I love having people show support for this reason as well! We’ve got to support our local, small businesses, especially those that are Black-owned.This establishment has been disrespected by people in the community on several occasions, so please do not pay mind to any negative reviews regarding some kids who decided to trash the establishment! They did something unacceptable and very disrespectful, they deserved to have been called out by the restaurant for their reckless behavior. It is NOT okay to mess with local, small businesses!

This place is sort of a weird mix of things. Its a diner slash bar. Video arcade gamer lounge. It has a great selection of burgers and and alcohol drinks. The sellection of vintage video games that you can play here number in the hundreds. There is also a gamer nite where you can get together with friends and play video games. The is a large HD tv that is usually playing some science fiction based movie. The food is really good too. They also have comic books.Overall a very pleasant experience. There are 2 touchscreens that you use to order now, one for cash only and the other for credit cards only. Other than that nothing has really changed.

I always end up spending more than I expected but I cannot complain about the quality. Love that there are so many cool games and stuff is friendly.Not a huge fan of the automated touch screen thing to be honest. The correlation and transfer of info from paper menu to automated machine is not seamless. Being able to tell an employee and have them enter it as an option would be awesome. I mean MacDonald's was one of the first to do this and they still let you just order from them. They don't have specialty items that are hard to find thoughRegardless, this place is superior to almost all burger places in bushwick and willyb. So do not miss out. Also, they are one of the few black owned businesses out here. Especially one that is doing out the box original fun items and themes.

Great food, Great times...As an avid video gamer, a place that combines food and games is almost like heaven. The owners are the only thing that makes everything even more amazing. If you need a place to have a party for you kids, or for the kid in you, Action Burger truly is the best.Also, their food is truly the best!!!

I had a very last minute birthday party here and it was a hit!!! The food and drinks were great and the games were old school classics I grew up playing, overall the owner was very nice and patient with my whole party. The novelty wore off, the food is starting to seem thrown together and the black guy at the front counter taking orders is rude as hell. Its not a obvious rudeness but subtle from the way he answers you to his overall demeanor. Right now is crucial for small businesses and these issues are a bad look.
