Island Burger

Island burger is usually my Go to! I did uber eats and the food was COLD !! Fries was hard and I ask for exra sauce’s and it was not given to me even after I said I’ll pay the extra fee . The food portion was very small as if it was rushed. Extremely upset I lost my appetite. I would have drove over there to give the food back but I have a newborn in the house with me and my fiancé is at work so I can’t leave . Smfh highly upset . Wish I can get my money back .

Only reason it's getting 2 star is because I had to eat a raw hamburger from them, they never asked me how I want the burger done. So just be aware of that. Please start asking how people want their burgers done.

I love Island Burger.. one of the best quick bite Trini options in Brooklyn. There’s really no other like it around. Their chicken salad is good and also their fried chicken strips with steak fries. I usually top off my orders with either their delicious garlic sauce or tamarind sauce. You can get up to 4 sauce containers on the side, either all the same flavor or their other different flavors. I definitely would recommend and would order again. I wish they had buss up shut roti.

The fries were a bit undercooked (hard) but other than that this place does not disappoint. I normally get the grilled shrimp but this time i decided to try the fried shrimp as well. The fried shrimp was really good!

One of my favorite places to get food in Brooklyn. I love everything here, from the burgers to the wings and of course I can’t forget about the amazing sauces. The ladies who work here are very welcoming and kind. I am so happy I’ve found this black & female owned restaurant that brings me a little piece of Trinidad to Brooklyn.

Sadly it isn't the same, fish and chips were better when it was on Snyder and Utica. I tried it several times to make sure I wasn't bugging because I want to support black owned businesses, and I am not. Other friends and family say it's not the same as well. I used to be excited for the food, now it's just ok.

I must say the fried shrimp was so spectacular that I absolutely NEEDED more! I finished eating hours ago and I'm still dreaming about the next time I'm going to order it. The food also arrived surprisingly fast which is always a plus. We asked for extra garlic sauce for delivery and let me tell you they did not disappoint. The garlic sauce and shrimp combo was delish! If i could order a Shrimp ONLY option just a full tray of perfectly fried shrimp, that would be great! ::licks lips::All in all don't even think twice about ordering from here.

Customer service is nonexistent at this establishment. I agree with reviewers, it’s lacking. The food is basic. I ordered a Salmon Burger with reg fries. The Salmon appears to be made from canned salmon instead of actual fresh salmon like usual/traditional salmon burgers. It’s tasty but nothing impressive. The fries are big and basic.The sauce options are what used to set this place apart from reg burger joints as the sauces are reminiscent of eateries in Trinidad. However, the sauces aren’t enough to keep me consistently returning. Island Burger is def my last last last last resort option.

Food was fantastic and the staff were very nice. My daughter is a HUGE fan of their burgers and always asks me to get some more. She highly recommends D Island Burger with garlic sauce inside. I however LOVE there shrimp n chicken with fries. Would definitely keep coming back.

Its deserves more stars. Seriously. You live in Eastflatbush you have to know about this place. And if you live outside that area, find a location and order everything. #1 in my favorite spot to grab food list. The chiefs are great and wow the women are beautiful and polite. Their the ones that prep your food after its cooked. Lil tv to keep you occupied and good carribbean music. I've tired everything on their list except their salads. That new and was added after i fell off from eating there(i moved outside their delivery range). Days like Friday afternoon gets real crowded. Best to call it in before showing up.Ive put on uber drivers, random people to this place to eat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I ordered a grilled chicken burger and a salmon burger. You’re probably asking…where’s the chicken? Exactly! There was so much bread and very little chicken. As for the salmon burger .. very salty! The fries was good though.

Island burgers pretty nice depending on what day you go but what I will say is one of the colors having nasty attitude please be on the lookout for her I would give you a better description but I'll probably think that she'll know exactly who I am based on the description that I would give for her but yes she's really nasty she really has a bad attitude and if you are dealing with any delivery services just stand off to the side on way to your cold that's your best bet

Usually I don’t post reviews but I was very disappointed with the service I received today. I was really excited to treat myself to delivery through Uber eats because I wanted to support local business and I’ve been here before the pandemic when it was good. I ordered a salmon burger with lettuce, red onion and mango chutney, that was suppose to come with a side of macaroni salad. I also ordered a side of potato salad, which I’m glad I did because I never received the macaroni salad at all. They even got the drink I ordered wrong. The salmon burger was dry with no toppings except lettuce. If they were out of certain items why not inquire about if I wanted a replacement.

Only reason i am giving two stars bc the food is good However i know it is busy but seeing people that were after you get their food first is upsetting literally waited an entire hour after being told 25 mins it ls rediculous! And they do not ever answer the fone for you to place an order EITHER HIRE SOMEONE TO ANSWER THE FONE OR GET MORE STAFFS

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the food taste good. Other than that, I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED ?. My order said 4 Shrimp and Chips. Why TF did I get 2 Chicken and Chips, one shrimp with NO CHIPS and one order of shrimp and chips correctly made. Plus, the restaurant took FOREVER to finish making the order, by the time I got it, it was cold and mushy. Had to reheat in the oven to eat it at a good temperature and not mushy anymore. Never again

Food was good as always, customer service is still an issue. As a born & raised Trini, it's disappointing that my people haven't evolved as yet to understand the importance of great customer service. Also, I suggest they bottle their sauces & make it available for sale, they are truly fantastic.

I was very disappointed with my order today. I normally get Island burger and the quality of this meal that I ate today was bad. I will he feel like I wasted 20 something dollars today on this meal and I really regret buying it. The french fries were decent but the chicken was hard I expect the crispy and some of the chickens they were burnt up and some of the prices were falling were falling apart .

When you pay with card, there is a $10 minimum!!The customer service is really good and the employees are helpful. The plexiglass makes it hard to communicate with the employees even with the little holes in it but it was workable.I had the chicken wings and fries the first time i went which was yesterday, and it was REALLY good. the wings were well seasoned but my only problem was that it seems like the wings weren’t cleaned properly. There was tendons and fat all over the outside under the crust if you know what i mean. so i made it hard to enjoy the outside.today, i tried the fried shrimp and fries. it was also well seasoned but the batter seemed too thin. like the crust on the outside needs to be thicker, but overall it was really good.today, i also tried the mac & cheese. it has a salty crust of cheese on top and creamy mac and cheese underneath. it looks really good but the taste is kind of weird. it’s like slightly sweet with a spicy undertone. the actual mac and cheese needs more salt and the cheese that was put on top needs to be less salty. it was okay but i wouldn’t buy it again.garlic sauce, tamarind sauce, and bbq sauce is an unmatched combination!UPDATE: I don’t think I’ll stop until I try everything on their menu and even after that I don’t think I’ll stop!! The crispy chicken strips and sweet potato fries are literally perfection!! It’s sooooo good and well seasoned. Im in love!!

So it seems like restaurants are realizing they make more money through the delivery apps than from walk-in customers. The service was deplorable so I decided to take my money back. The order expected time was 10 minutes beyond the 15min time they said. (An Island Burger should have toppings as listed), Yet the order taker rang up a regular 8oz burger with lettuce tomatoes etc. Asked for a manager and nobody came out, a server behind the counter was unprofessional and I will not return there anytime soon.

Burger wasn’t cook properly and tried to tell me it was the seasoning that made it pink. Not sure what type seasoning that is but never again. Island burger use to be really good when they first open they had Spanish people cooking and not sure what happen to them but they need to come back ASAP. Them new chief can’t do the job sorry. ??‍♀️

Food is great, some staff is very nice and friendly. There level of service needs improvement. When you call and place a order they give you a time to pick up, but when you get there, there is still a lengthy wait. Customer service needs major improvement. Staff is watching TV and chit chatting while bagging peoples food, which makes that process even longer.

Nice little spot. They are diverse with their options of patties. The venue is buy and go, no dining. They have a little parking lot in the front but can get packed quickly. The beverage variety is small but, the staff outs friendly.

My latest visit to this island burger i wasnt impressed for that little piece of fish and just grilled shrimp...it was cold...dry...the sauce was tasteless. I only gave it a 3 because idk if its this specific island burger because the other one ive had much better experiences. But...i am definitely not happy about the latest meal i paid for.

The food was good and came out quickly. However, the lady at the register ringing up the order was very rude. She overcharged me & when I inquired about why was there an extra fee on my receipt, she rudely said it was a New York sales tax, rolled her eyes and quickly dismissed me. Everything & every question seemed like a problem for her. I then found out from another lady that worked in the back that the extra charge was from the particular side order that I had and not from the sales tax. I live in nyc, I know what a sales tax is. Please work on your customer service! It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I won’t be returning to that location nor the people I was with.

Just came from her and the employees need to be trained properly I waited 11mins before ordering and then had to wait 32mins to get my food and got back to work late this is one restaurant I will not recommend to anyone and to make matters worst this restaurant cannot be found in the BBB so for my I am going to get my boss to get on this since its not registered in the BBB.

Food: subparService: must be something in vents, bc i was given an attitude for putting my chip card in "too soon". Meanwhile, she was answering the phone to take an order while taking my order. Based on other reviews, sounds like Island Burger needs customer service training.This is a must go OF YOU ARE DRUNK AND HAVE ZERO idea what food SHOULD taste like. They'd be making bank if they had a bar... Too bad they don't!!I MIGHT visit again. MIGHT!

I love the food in this place. Customer service, in person is top notch. HOWEVER , it is impossible to actually call in the order. They don’t do delivery so you have to pick up. There has been days where I tried calling no joke 20-50 times every time number is busy, and I end up eating somewhere else. If they can hire more staff or expand in some way, that would help a ton.

The food is pretty good here. The staff is hit or miss depending on who’s working there at the time. Some of them have attitudes and others are really nice. I would definitely recommend the grilled shrimp and chips. The homemade juice is really good as well.
