Haymaker Thunderbird

First time here and this place is amazing! Great atmosphere and plenty of seating. The food was perfect. I had the veggie omelet and it was hands down the best omelet I've ordered from a restaurant. My girlfriend had the chorizo Benedict and I will be ordering that next time. I tasted it and it will def. be the next thing I try as I plan on ordering something new each time I visit.

The food was high value. Not the best pulled pork (a bit dry) but the price was excellent. So I thought there was no room to complain.Fried chicken was very tasty, and again very reasonable.And the beer menu was good.

Food was OK compared to the other locations but the service was abysmal. Did not check if our food was OK. Did not refill waters or tea. Dropped check off without asking if we wanted anything else which we did want more. Then after dropping check off and ignoring us, we decided to go to the cabin for another round and better service. We put cards on table and she was there to offer us tea to go and cash us out within 30 seconds. Off to another establishment now for better service.

Love their breakfast! Service was on the slow side, took us nearly half an hour just to get our drinks and then an additional 20 or more minutes for food. But everything else is good.

My husband & I had Chicken strips, fried fish & onion rings which were simply ok. Bread pudding was pretty good. Waitress was not friendly & was putting chairs on tables well before closing time in our section.Was supposed to get 20% off as perk for staying at local resort. No discount given initially though waitress indicated 20% was applied but, then could not confirm on bill. She went back to correct & bill then reflected only 10%. Wasn't going to debate any further so paid. Disappointing dinner experience.

The ribs were like beef jerky with barbecue sauce on them and so I switched over to the meatloaf which was straight out of an old person's home no flavor, gummy and just gross.

The food is great. My friend and I each had a breakfast plate and everything was cooked just right. Service was a bit off, with forgotten items and no follow-up or refills offered.I still think it's worth another visit.

We arrived with a party of 9 they wanted to seat use in the bar area I said no they Said well it will be 20 to 30 minutes which is not a problem but the attitude by the desk personal was don't know if we will be back

It's an average place to eat. Nothing in the menu that differs much from other places. Service was good. Food was just ok.

Went there for breakfast, the food and staff is always wonderful. I always get the chicken fried steak it comes with biscuitsand gravy. You definitely get what you pay for.

I had the shredded pork and fried onions. The onions were great but the ranch dip was very diluted. The shredded pork was a tad dry. The best part was our server, Gwen. She was attentive but not intrusive. If you go to Haymakers ask for Gwen, you won't be disappointed.

Interesting variations on veggies with sandwiches and meals. Place is a bit tricky to find the first time. Just be in the right lane as you pass under 101.

What a great experience this place was not too busy it was a good place to go after a hike. The staff are very friendly and kind the waitstaff was patient and kind. He was a nice guy with a tattoo of Jesus on his forearm it was badass loved it! And the food was reasonably priced great portions and tasty Thanks for such amazing service.

I am glad to write honest reviews on my restaurant experiences. My visit was on 12/31/2021 in the noon hour. My service was excellent and my food was excellent. We were seated quickly. I must admit it was a long wait to get my meal but I also took into account they may be short handed. Hard to find workers these days.

Great place for breakfast or any meal...I believe they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We went here because it was dog friendly and my friend had a dog. We sat on the patio. I had the special Eggs Benedict with Fried Chicken. It was enough for two...YUM! My friends had breakfast specials and they were pleased.This place also has a full bar. Although we didn't indulge.Great place. I'll definitely be back.

Food for all of us was a bit disappointing. Bbq pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich were dry with very little sauce. We couldn't even really taste sauce on the sandwiches.

Perfectly serviceable breakfast and lunch place. Short wait on a Saturday morning, which was great. Food was decent. Bloody Mary was okay. Our waitress was super friendly and quick.

To be honest I thought it was just a bar but its not... I was pleasantly surprised walking in ? Ask for Patrick, he is freaking awesome and very attentive and the food is delicious. Hats off to the chef/cook?

We visit both the Goodyear and Thunderbird locations often. We usually order the grilled bacon wrapped jalapenos at the Thunderbird location and rave about them. Tonight they came out burnt black and one didn't even have any bacon on it. We sent them back and when the replacement order came out, it was the same as the first time. Black and one had no bacon. Completely inedible. The manager was very apologetic and took them off our bill. Some cooks just pretend to be cooks

5/29/22: our friends didn’t show up so we are without them. The food was high quality and served with the sweetest servers you could ever imagine. Don’t miss out on this country good feeling food… even if your friends ignore you for hours (haha, they apologized).

Eggs were undercooked, potatoes tasted like they were sitting in a warmer at a buffet from a cheap hotel. Never asked if needed refills. Sausage was better than most places. Wouldn't go back personally.

I had a Mexican chicken fry or whatever it's called and it was absolutely the greatest thing ever I also had 2 specialty mixed drinks and they were also amazing. Hands down one of the best brunch places to go to.

Love this place!! I usually go the one on Litchfield Rd so I thought I would try this one since I was in the area. Both are great never disappoint. Portions are just right size, food is good and servers are awesome. A little bit of a wait to get in especially now with the restrictions that are in place but people didn't seem to mind.

My sisters and I, recently, chose this restaurant to meet for breakfast. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal. Personally, I love their omelettes. If you like biscuits, they serve the best fresh (huge) fluffy and most tasteful biscuits ever. Gwendolyn was our waitress and we could not say enough about how attentive and kind she was as well as getting all our orders correct. We had such a great time, we asked to speak with the manager to share our satisfaction with the food and service. This place is a must try. I recommend all to enjoy a great meal at the Haymaker on Thunderbird and the 101 in Peoria, Az.

The food we had was just ok - average. Coffee was bitter and cold. They did eventually replace that with hot coffee.It was our 1st time here. We might give it another try, but only if in the area.

1st time we went we were very disappointed, took quite a while before anyone took our order & once we got our food it was only warm, had to ask for our toast twice, had to ask for drinks. This time was great! Met friends for brunch (bout 10 of us). All of us got what we ordered, food was hot & very good. Wait staff was great also.

Wow just wow, best omelette I've ever had, it was so light and fluffy.The waiter was amazing, we got there a little after they opened and they weren't busy at all on a Friday.But definitely got busier as we sat there. We will definitely be back to try this gem in Arizona...
