Optimist is my kiddo's favorite place, and he loves looking up the new restaurants. We visit 4x a year. HAPPY SERVICE, BEST BURGERS AND FRIES, AND GET YOU SOME SAUCES FOR DIPPING! This place is AMAZING! After the worst flight thru the storms today, this made our night ❤️ hope to see y'all in the spring!

I've been going to Harriet's Hamburger at Optimist Hall for over a year now. They truly have one of the best burgers in Charlotte. It is a simple burger with few toppings but at its core, the patty and cheese and bun are delicious. I wouldn't mind a few more standard burger topping options, like tomato and lettuce, but I can appreciate that they are focused on a basic burger and do it incredibly well. Also the staff, especially Jay, are truly phenomenal. They recognize me every time I come by, and are very friendly. I plan to come back as often as I can.

The hype about Harriet's is well deserved. Yes it's Bangola Supreme. Strong-arming the burger game with their delicious double patties. The simplicity of the menu, the ingredients, the decor are all modern foodie fresh. The natural sodas were the bomb and the service was prompt and friendly. I can't complain about this slammin' burger spot that I'll be back to very soon. I'd like to see some more fixins for these outstanding burgers but I'll take em how they serve them for now as they are the juiciest I've had in a while. Enjoy this is certified Awesome Eats spot.After countless visits I find myself here again today and google asking for an updated review so here it is. Just enjoyed two burgers+cheese. Still the absolute bomb. This burger never fails to satisfy. Harriet's can hold her own against the very best burgers in Charlotte. Highly recommend.

I'm a huge fan of burgers! Harriet's Hamburger is one of the top burgers in my books that I've ever ate and its pretty darn juicy and fresh. The down fall is that its a bit pricey for the whole meal and they charge extra for sauces and they don't have much added onto the burger itself. I would rather pay the amount I paid for at Harriet's at Five Guys to have more add on to my burger and double the amount of fries. But other than its a great place to eat if you ever stop at Optimist Hall.

The optimist hall on the weekend is a very stressful place. Lines blocking doors, parking backed up to the street, nowhere to sit.But come to Harriet's hamburgers. Double park if you need to, carpool if you need to, sit on the ground or eat in the car.After standing in an epic line that defied the boundaries of geometry, we got our burgers surprisingly quick.Wow, they were amazing!!! We each had a cheeseburger and split a royale with fries. Everything was so good, even the natural soda. I was so happy after eating, I wish they had more locations.

the food was absolutely perfect and has great flavor, the employees cooking were very nice. However when i ordered my burger i ordered a hamburger with cheese. upon receiving my food there was no cheese and i looked on the receipt and it was rung up as no cheese. i politely went back to the register and told the cashier that i had asked for cheese on my burger. she seemed to not believe me and said let me look up your order…. my boyfriend told her i did infact ask for cheese and we would pay the extra if it was that serious. they proceeded to just remake my order and then the girl started talking about me in Spanish to the other employees… i could understand every word she was saying because i am hispanic even though i don’t look it. she was extremely rude talking about me also saying that i was the one that misplaced my own order. aside from that the food was great and the other employees were very sweet and apologized for the misunderstanding on my order.

These burgers are magical. The char grilled exterior, onions, cheese and sauce is a flavor combo for the gods! The fries are nice and crunchy too. Best ever? Nah, but definitely worth coming back for.

The staff here is amazingly understanding and professional. I have a 3y/o who hates char on burgers, and when I asked them, they told me how they make it, and said they could accommodate my daughter's need. They did more than that. My daughter loved it, and I took a bite as well, and it is a great burger. Well seasoned and strongly based on a simple burger cooked great. Thanks for the great burger and all the help!

We doordashed two Harriett Cheeseburgers with fries with the garlic aioli. Absolutely delicious! This is how burgers should taste. Period. Highly recommend. Will most definitely order again.

The best burger I have ever had! From the first bite to the very last, it was everything a burger should. The house made pickles, red onions and the melted white American cheese. Everyone needs to try this burger!! The fries also deserve a shoutout for being super crispy and hot.

The burger itself was actually very good and fresh. I really liked the fries too as they were quite hot too!However, I would like to see more options as far as toppings on their menu. I couldn’t even get tomato on my burger. I also did not appreciate how the staff interacted with us. They were very brunt and cut us off during our sentences. The person helping us was unwilling to provide the things we requested.The quality of the food is great but the options and service are subliminal.

I love this place.... there aren't really any words... just phenomenal!!! Everything is fresh and made to order. The only thing I wish was that everything wasn't ala carte but it's all good. You won't be disappointed

Absolutely delicious. The quality of the beef patties, the freshness of the homemade pickles, and the combination of their American cheese and homemade sauce is sublime. The Brioche bun is perfect. Fries are well seasoned and crisp on the outside, not heavy and greasy on the inside. Will definitely be back.

I was already like 60% full from brunch but I had a pre date already so I ordered the Kids burger and the fries and my God was it good! Not too much grease not too fattening nor pricey! I’m not from Charlotte but I’ll remember this place! Wonderful staff and food also! Free water n refills! Great restaurant! Should be Franchised!

This is one of my favorite places to get a burger hands down. I like the thin patties that have the crispy edges and they always get it right here! The quality speaks for itself and I love the sauce selections too! A must try in optimist hall! Plus the staff is friendly and customer service is a priority for them, you can tell!

Great burger and super fast service! A bit different than some burgers you may try as this came as is with cheese, onion pickle and a special sauce. No lettuce or tomato but it was definitely pretty tasty we would come again!

Tried them for the first time and was not disappointed. Friendly and fast service, hot, accurate food. Purchased the Cheeseburger, fries and Kido burger. All were delicious. It was #NationalBurgerDay too and perfect way to celebrate. Will return.

Really enjoyed the hamburger with cheese! I feel very well versed in hamburger and cheeseburger consumption, I would definitely put Harriet’s in my top 10, this little burger stall does not disappoint. The beef was really flavorful and well seasoned, the brioche bun is big & delicious. Super friendly staff, who offered great suggestions. I went on a Tuesday afternoon so it wasn’t very busy at the stalls. Had my meal in about 5 mins. Five stars well deserved. Will be back!Update: did a taste test vs. Ace no. 3 and winner goes to Harriets.

Delicious cheeseburger and some of the best fries I’ve ever had! Pro tip- Ask for your onions on the burger to be grilled. The garlic aioli sauce for the fries is also incredible! Love the retro vibes here.

Excellent burgers every time. The garlic aioli and fries is a winning combo. If you hate raw onions on burgers, don’t worry — these are cooked and layered with a delicious sauce. They will also make you cherry coke if you ask!
