Funny Farm Restaurant

Went and was assigned a server who never came to take our order. Ellie jumped in as soon as she noticed and put in our order and refilled my mom’s coffee.

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. When my in-laws came to visit from out of town I thought this was a great opportunity to go. The food was good, not great but the service was subpar. It wasn't a busy time when we went. It was a long wait for food to arrive and just overall between moments of service/checking in with the table. We didn't get the puppy patty or water for the dog, or the side dish that we ordered. We didn't get to-go boxes after requesting, so had to go in and get it ourselves. We would've wanted to try the dessert but we didn't want to wait for however long it would take to get it. Maybe it was an off day for them.On the plus side, my son really loved their mac and cheese.

First time here and the food was delicious. Wacky atmosphere but the staff was very friendly. We ordered the Beef Patty Melt (with added Avocado, great suggestion!), the Farm Burger, and an order of stinky fries! The food came out fresh and was very tasty. We'll be happy to stop by here again and bring our friends!

I have to admit, I've been here twice. The food was pretty good from what I recall. I was there on May 24th, one couple ahead of me, so I wrote my name down. I waited and waited, grabbed a menu, since my order was going to be to go. I waited and waited - in total I waited about only 10-15 minutes. All that time without being acknowledged (no "welcome to funny farm" or "we'll be right with you"). Mind you, the place had about four occupied tables and a few people at the bar - this meant that there were about 10 open tables, so not too busy.Being hungry, I finally left without spending anything at this place, but had a great burrito at iguanas. It's too bad because i really wanted a good burger.

I loved this place! It was a whole experience. There's a theme of surly rebelliousness they've cultivated with the decor but also the waitstaff, I think. The server Ellie had a great "sassy diner burger slinger" thing going. Brought the kids and they thought it was great!Theme aside, Ellie was very attentive and helpful.The food was excellent. We came specifically for the buffalo chicken poutine and it did not disappoint. I also hear from my teen that the burger was good, too.Bottom line, come here if you like sarcasm and comfort food. These are your people.

I visited the restaurant six months ago but didn't feel comfortable reviewing it right away due to the behavior of the manager, who came across as weird and scary.I was a frequent visitor to their old South San Jose location. My experience at this location was far worse than what I had experienced before. Tater tots was no longer offered as a side dish and costed more than $7. Other items are all pricier too.What's more, the website advertised half portion orders, but the restaurant didn't offer them, which led to more food than we needed. Even though the burger was tasty, the Korean BBQ wings were very dry.To add insult to injury, I was not informed beforehand about the extra fee for using a credit card. As someone who doesn't carry cash, this was a surprise and inconvenience that could have been avoided with prior notification.Overall, my experience here was not up to par, and I regret that I cannot recommend it. I hope the restaurant takes customer feedback seriously and doesn’t argue with the reviewers. I would definitely go back if it runs like the old South San Jose location.

The staff is fun and the food is fun. Had the UFO burger and it was well made and entertaining to eat. It has a good floating illusion. They have a nice patio area.

Finally gave it a try and tried my first Poutine. Got to try their burgers soon. Hopefully they're successful there. Not many have done well in that suite.
