The Diner of Los Gatos

First of all our waitress was awesome, the best service around. The food was also delicious, I don’t usually finish my plate but here I just had to. I ordered an open turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and it was delicious. The lentil soup was perfect, reminded me of my mom’s lentil soup.

I love this place. I’m 16 and I love the 50s lifestyle and this restaurant really feels like I’m living it. The food is amazing and the service is very spot on. Couldn’t be any better. Thank you so much for making this place.

It's a very charming, old fashioned Diner.It's where the locals go. Nothing too fu fu, just your diner fare: waffles and egg stuff for breakfast, sandwiches and burger for dinner.

I stopped in with my rabbit the other day and they couldn't have been nicer to us! I chose to sit outside as I could set up the bunny's travel pen. They took excellent care of us both.The Eggs Benedict was pretty good. My family is French so I'm used to eggs being runnier but it's perfect for most Americans. It could still be considered poached. Next time I'll just make certain to specify less cooked. But the bernaise was yummy and the hash browns were perfectly cooked - golden brown crisp with soft white. I'll definitely stop by again the next time I'm in town.

I had an ENORMOUS club salad. My folks had a turkey club. The accompanying split pea soup was thick and richLots of fun atmosphere and music. Great family place!

Good service from our waitress. Lot of foods. We order Egg Benedict. Not bad, not spectacular. Just average Benefits. Would not drive from S. San Jose to Ls Gatos for breakfast but if we around will stop by again. . Good decorating dinning room

sis and I stopped into the LG diner early Fri night for a turkey burger, and as always, the place didn't disappoint. yummy burgers and fries. they have excellent shakes as well. we had an awesome top notch waitress which made the experience even better. they have recently added an outside patio area which will be great for the warmer weather. we will be back for sure!

A Los Gatos institution, with a freshly updated exterior, parking lot, and new outdoor dining area. Woot! The tableside jukeboxes may not work anymore, but the decor and memorabilia is hard to find anywhere else. Classic diner food with some local twists. My fave is the Mexican Dog with chili, jalapeños and guacamole - just don’t try to eat it in your car.

Very friendly staff. All dishes which we did order were delicious: burger, tri tip steak and salad with chicken. Very tasty soup with white beans and tomato. First stop here and definitely not the last one!

4 stars for delicious food and great service. 5th start for waitress noticing our 3 year old being hungry and fuzzing.. then quickly taking the kids order and putting a rush on it. Baby was happy and so was dad and mom ?

Great diner, amazing staff and fantastic food. We had our brunch there and ordered a kids burger, a California Omelette and a Popeye Omelette. The house coffee was great as well. Great Service overall..

I had quite possibly the best eggs benedict that I've ever had in my life there. they called the super benedict, it was fantastic. very expensive, but worth every penny.

This was terrific as a little traditional 50s diner. Little parking lot on the side. Staff was very nice. I think the potato salad side was awesome. My companion liked the cole slaw side. My club sandwich had great ingredients but the bread was a little dry. My companion’s chicken salad was tasty but she also took hers off the dry bread. Not sure if more Mayo would help but I’ll ask for that next time.

my husband and I have been coming here for about 15 years. the owners, rocky is so friendly and nice, very interested in his customers to make them happy as well as all servers, illani, allisa, and the others. All food is delicious, never had anything here that wasn't good. I moved to Arizona but will always come back here when i vacation, etc. We have nothing great like this in Az.

The place is under remodeling but the service is still great and the food is delicious. The orange juice was not good but they replaced it with cranberry juice for an exchange.

Fantastic service! Attentive, genuine, helpful, and never intrusive. I ordered the turkey dinner. Serving size just right (I couldn't finish my plate but there wasn't so much leftover that I felt the need for a box). The seasonal veg on the side was so fresh and perfectly cooked and also perfectly seasoned. I could have made an entire meal out of that. Stuffing was awesome and definitely tasted homemade, solid mashed potatoes, good gravy although it tasted like an instant gravy mix instead of homemade. The turkey was moist, but sliced thin so I felt like I was being served sandwich-sliced deli meat (the kind made with a "solution"). A really good turkey dinner is hard to come by. This turkey dinner is probably one of the top 5 I've ever had. Will absolutely return and recommend this place. The menu is really good, so picking just one thing was hard. They have a canopy over the outdoor dining patio, so even though it was a hot day, it was appropriately shady and comfortable. Not as busy as I expected for a Saturday at noon, easy to find parking in the small lot and no waiting for a table.

We had the chicken fried steak and it was FANTASTIC!!!!!! Real steak, rich mashed potatoes, and fresh veggies; you really can't go wrong! Will definitely be coming back soon!

Lowed it. Italian dishes are better than most Italian restaurants. Rich aromas, no artificial or overpowering sauces. You can taste and smell the fresh basel infused to fresh tomato sauce on chicken parmesan. Not your run of the mill chicken swimming in canned tomato sauce.

Can’t remember the last time I was here, but decided to stop in for a late lunch. We sat at the counter and got service asap. It was great. The food was quick and hot, and they had everything we asked for. Perfect medium rare burger with veggies. Fries have a tasty crispness and I asked for bbq sauce on the side, it was delish. I love locally owned restaurants, and this joint has been around for decades. Kinda quiet on this Monday afternoon, but I hope more folks find this place and support local. Very cool spot to bring the kids for sure, and great diner with milkshakes and diner style coffee….mmm just what my soul needed.

Friendly staff and it's a breakfast diner as it gets. It's perfect if you are getting an oil change at the garage across the street. Prices are "ok", but let's face it - it's pricy everywhere.....

While on a road trip Google maps diverted our route due to an accident on the hwy. We stopped at the diner. It's super cute, the food was good, staff was friendly. Service was a bit slow and the food was expensive. Nothing was less than $18.

The wife had the Monte cristo sandwich and it was not up to par I would not recommend it. I had the chili and it was very good with lots of onions and cheese on it . The atmosphere of the restaurant was great

Edit,Tried this place one more time just to see if things changed two years later. Still not good quality for the price. Pancakes at that price and you don't offer real maple syrup? Come on get it together. Service was great but price/quality is lacking. We will not return.Totally disappointed with this place. Overpriced food that didn't taste good. Service was great but food not so much. The men's bathroom was disgusting. Place could use some help with a few things.
