Appeared with a friend with ample time to order in pre-closing moments and were greeted as if the staff had just began their shift.Good folks, young children about the kneespace (always watch for the little ones) and kind words exchanged of wins from the 5-6-7 yr old looking for cheers from the staff.Optimism shines here between local folks and those locally visiting.One of my fave spots to grab a very nice meal at very nice meal prices.As everyone, everywhere, prices ladder up. Nice steak 🥩 plates and drinks for two channel in over the bill mark.To be clear, this is a well structured menu with the food to compete with the comfort of steakhouse luxury.My mouth waters every time I pass by.Thank you grillems.

We played country on the AMI JUKEBOX. Good. Ribs, great. Mashed potatoes, great. Hamburger medium rare cooked perfectly, awesome. Garlic fries need no adjectives. More country with Kenny Chesney, Chris Stapleton, Eric Church. Yes! Service was excellent.

1st time here. I feel like I discovered a secret gem. Wow, everything was really good. The BBQ, steaks, and even the fries were exceptional. Plus they had screens everywhere. Watching the Warriors game while we ate FANTASTIC foof outside made for a perfect moment.

The Hubs and I pass this place almost daily and we decided to finally stop in for a bite. So glad we did!!! The French dip was tender and bursting with flavor along with the fresh garlic fries!! I had the sausages with Carolina mustard and homemade Mac and cheese!! WOW!!! Such a perfectly roasted sausage with a great snap in every bite. Juicy and full of Smokey flavor, I’m hooked!! The calamari had the perfect amount of breading and was deep fried to perfection. The deep fried sliced jalapeños served with it were a welcome addition.Cindy was our server and she was a delight. Quick, efficient, helpful and happy to assist us with our selections. The Cindie’s spicy margarita was delish and the Hubs beer was cold with great foam and lacing.The decor is definitely dated but I loved it. I’m a midwest girl that loves down home BBQ house/diner feel. Although dated and old decor it was impeccably clean and well preserved. I’ll definitely be back again and again. So happy to have found a friendly place to dine in my neighborhood.Thanks Crew, you are all amazing. Keep up the great work and we’ll see you soon

Great location with great customer service! Chill staff and have lots of outdoor seating with tv's and even beer pong on some nights! The food is always delicious, along with the drinks! Highly recommend!

Came here for my birthday because I love this place. They gave me something for my birthday and it was delicious. It was the best cheesecake I've ever had. Would recommend.Update: The place has changed a lot. I miss the Juicy Lucy burger. The menu seems to have gotten smaller. Service is still amazing but everything else seems less.

Some friends and I were looking for a nice steak place to eat and we found this place online. The appetizers were excellent, both the potato skins and the calamari, and the ranch dressing was fresh and tasty as well. My friends were quite happy with the sports / bar interior ambiance and with their burger and barbeque selections. My steak was pretty expensive and it came out burned on the outside, which was alright but not ideal. I could have said something, but I didn't want to wait for a new one. As the server / owner was friendly and considerate we left him a $40 tip in cash, however, my visa gift card was charged an extra $28 dollars over the amount of the meal $140. I felt it was very dishonest, but it was likely just a mistake since the money was returned to my card later. Overall a good experience!

Friendly servers. Great ribs ( though one night was off). Good burgers. Love the shrimp and steak... Come with a salad with home made dressings. Really loved the Italian dressing all 4 times I've been there now.

Very good BBQ and bar. We had the 1/2 chicken and vegies and they were fantastic, throw on a couple of side salads and micro brews from the full bar for an excellent lunch... watching the game was a bonus... we will be back, Thank you. Oh and don't forget the bacon, Manager gave us a sample and we took a half pound home... Fantastic.

My first time here, but I will return. I ordered a Serra Nevada tap beer for my aperitif, which was nice and icy cold. I chose the salad as my side item for my meal, which was very good (I love blue cheese dressing). The prime rib was cooked to perfection, which was 16 ounces!. The meal was very juicy and served with a side of a type of olive oil with steak sauce mixed in. Next time, I will need to ask them what it was, but it was delicious. I was only able to finish eating half my meal so the rest I took home as leftovers. (Please see my pictures.)

My husband and I stopped here after hiking up in the mountains because we wanted comfort-type food. I was a little apprehensive at first because this definitely is more of a local hangout than an "out-of-towner"/touristy type place. I was pleasantly surprised and everyone was super nice and welcoming. We got to pick our spot to sit in a big comfy booth. Our server was attentive and quick. A really easy-going place to stop. Plus the food was great! I ordered a New York steak and my husband ordered the #2 BBQ platter. Steak was seasoned well and cooked nicely and the ribs had a tasty smokey flavor. My cocktail was also pretty good as well and was a good size for the $12 price tag. So happy we stopped here and will definitely be back when we come thru again.

Great overall dinner with a coworker last night. I DO hope they bring back the grilling station that everyone raves about. ??. Sherry, the bartender/server was attentive without being annoying and had a great knowledge of the food and cocktail menu. She made the perfect recommendations. We both got the Barbecue Combo #2, and the ribs and pulled pork were tender and flavorful. The fries were crispy, and the macaroni and cheese was perfect. They're also part of the airline miles rewards programs, an added plus. I'll gladly eat here again when I'm in town for business.

The pandemic has not quite left us, most people are very confused what they should or should not do yet, but even though this restaurant is open it still isn't, like so many other restaurants, not fully staffed yet. I am certian that is why it took awhile for our order to go. The staff was doing their best and our food was fresh, hot and delicious when I got home to eat with my husband. We are looking forward to eating there in the near future. ; >

I had the 1/2 LB bacon cheeseburger and it was real good. It was also huge and I had to cut it in half to make it easier to eat. The bacon in it was thick and delicious. A quality burger for sure. My son had the 2 item BBQ and it has a real smoke flavor that was delicious. The coleslaw was excellent and I enjoy that a lot. We finished it off with a lava cake. The service was friendly and we were checked on regularly and got what we needed promptly. You can sit inside or outside in the patio. We chose to sit outside and it was comfortable. They lowered the plastic shades to block the wind, which made it more comfortable. If you sit inside, it is louder. Music the people at the bar are a little loud for quiet conversation or if you have hearing issues, like I do. This is mostly a blue collar sort of place from the look at the construction worker types having dinner, but that makes this an unpretentious place to go, and free of the typical Silicon Valley duches I'm used to working with. It's a nice refreshing place to eat.

Expensive. Sat at the bar. My buddy and I had bacon cheeseburgers $17 each, cup of chili $7 each 3 beers and 2 shots of Jack apiece. $128 before tip. The bartender was very nice (and really good looking) and food was very good. I don't believe they are doing the BBQ your own any more. At least I didn't see anyone doing that.

Ordered the 3 meat combo. Went to pick up order and most employees weren't wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly and oddly the sign at the door said no mask no service. Chopped pork was terrible, fatty and not tender, chicken was decent and sausage was, well let's just say can't really mess up sausage. Sides were okay and texas toast was not prepared thrown in from a loaf. I would not recommend going here for those reasons. Not sure how this place is surviving.Went a second time and just as bad, do not waste your time in going here. Surprised this place didn't close during covid.

Best happy hour in Campbell !!! From 11-4pm you get a $9 lunch and $4 beers on tap, they even have some IPA on tap, $4 well shots/mixed drinks. You can't beat the deals here. They also offer dinner menus for after 4pm. Great family atmosphere, and great spot to catch a game and get some food. Plenty of seating. Also have out door seating as well.

A nice little local neighborhood bar and grill with good food. Lots of folks were there to watch the ball game on screens both inside and on the two patios. Super friendly staff and a rare neighborhood-family environment. It wasn't busy on a weekend dinner evening.

Went there for a steak. The food was okay. Unfortunately, my main take was that the service was very slow. Had to wait 30 minutes before I could get my food order taken. It could have been due to there being only one server at the time. The positive was that the food came out at a reasonable time after the order was finally taken.

Mom and sister was feeling like they wanted some BBQ ribs so I decided to check out Grill 'Em Steakhouse as it was close by. They have a parking lot with plenty of parking space. Walking inside, it looked dark and outdated like a medieval castle, the outside has a nice seating area that was quite comfortable but that was it.There was only two servers working when we were there atm, I think she did a okay job and she got our orders right. Unfortunately she was not wearing gloves and busting tables and served our food. Kinda gross if I could make one recommendation to the management it would be to have your servers wear clean gloves but meh it's not a big deal. What we ordered was 2 rack of ribs and my mom actually let me try one. The ribs were quite great, spicy, good perfectly and comes with a dipping sauce. I had the bacon burger I asked for it to be med rare and they delivered.Long story short, I'll be back for their Ribs and fries.

I had lunch at Grill Em Steakhouse on S Bascom Avenue in San Jose today. I sat in the front patio where there were a lot of tables and there was a roof to protect from the sun and rain. The day was pleasant, but there was noise from the many cars on S. Bascom.I liked that they offered lunch specials for $10; that is a good price. I ordered the half chicken with a salad. The salad was nearly all lettuce and not very tasty. The chicken consisted of a leg, thigh, and breast, but it was overcooked and too dry unfortunately.The waitress was pleasant and helpful.Perhaps I will return and try the baby back ribs.The interior was quite dark.There is plenty of free parking in the rear lot and on the street.

We had been going here for years before the pandamic. We went and noticed the menu was cut in half. We ordered a few items. All food items were either over seasoned or cooked/burnt. The appetizer was super spicy, didn't indicate that it was spicy. The bread with it stated crostini, ended up with garlic bread. We ordered a medium well burger and it was well done. Ordered chicken strips and seasoned fries, which we ordered in the past. The chicken was over cooked and super hard. The seasoned fries were super over seasoned, couldn't even eat them. Had to wait for waiter 20 mins to ask about the bill. Probably wouldn't go to again.

Love the special house wings, not sure what they're called, but just ask one of the wait staff and they should know!!! 1/2020 I wanted to update my review. I've been back to grill'ems a few times since leaving my last review. It's only fair that I update this review. Firstly, I'd like to say that the owner is a very nice person who really cares about the patrons being happy. I'd also like to say that the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful and pleasant. The food at grill'ems is very good. The menu is great. Everytime I come out to eat at Grill'ems my food is fabulous & overall experience is very nice. I will most certainly come here, bring friends here, and highly recommend This Bar & Grill.

Before coming here my colleague mentioned that we were headed to a place with decent bar food. With that in mind, I set my expectations really low. :)The first thing I noticed walking in was that interior was very dated, but it was also very clean. There were a few folks grilling their own steaks, so that was a positive sign. Since it was right in the middle of the day, I didn't want anything heavy, so I opted for their Grilled Chicken Sandwich. For $10.50 it came with grilled chicken breast topped with lettuce, tomato, and Pepper Jack, dressed with chipotle mayo. It was a good sandwich! It packed some decent flavor and was pretty juicy. The garlic fries were a good addition and a good way to finish off the meal.Service was super friendly and very attentive. You are probably better off ordering a steak or a burger, but overall I didn't have anything to complain about. Set your expectations accordingly, and this spot might just surprise you. A solid 3.5 stars for their food, but rounding up for great service!
