Very good burger, quality ingredients, friendly and fast service. Big chips and very fair prices. Taking 4 hamburgers and a plate of fries in 4 (because they are abundant) we spent 10 $ each. I...

Stopped at this cute pub on our way to the zoo. Bartender Gabby was so welcoming and friendly, loved her! Great selection of beer and spirits. Food was awesome. Totally recommend!

I'm not sure how more people aren't talking about this place. At this point I've had all of their cocktails and some of their seasonal drinks as well. The food is fantastic for the price. Servers have always been pleasant.

Great service despite it being busy for a Monday night football game. The outdoor patio with heaters was a nice surprise. Huge portions. Not pictured the delicious Cali Creamin draft.

I can't get enough of the delicious grain salad with grilled chicken from this neighborhood gem! Always fresh and the flavors are a perfect blend, making each bite a delight. What sets this place apart is not just the fantastic food, but also the warm welcome I receive every time I pick up my salad to go. Their genuine cheerfulness adds an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit. I leave with a smile and a heartfelt 'thank you.' It's more than a meal; it's an experience. Highly recommend!

Used to love this place but came back for the first tine in a couple months and its a completely different experience. Menu was smaller, missing my favorite items (nbd) but the service was bad and the food was barely edible.Came right at 5ish, ordered a burger (med) and fries, and it came out so undercooked the meat still had the color and texture of raw ground beef (and almost no flavor). The other order (grilled cheese no bruchetta) also came out wrong and had to be remade.

New review after April 17th, 2023 Menu update:The Corner is a usual hang for us, and we are long running and happy customers. I know the menu update was designed to help with costs and will roll out in phases. That being said, a lot of the favorites are gone or changed. The Salmon burger used to be a nice cut of fish, but is now a smashed seafood cake with unseasoned avocado and cucumbers. I got the crispy fish sandwich and it was super dry and sadly had no flavor. The new version of Brussel sprouts had half the flavor and twice the salt. In the countless times we've been here since they opened, we've never had a disappointing meal.If you read my original review below, you see that I say the price can be a little high, but we kept coming back because the flavors were worth it. After tonight's meal, it feels like the quality of the dishes has decreased, yet the prices remained the same. We're hoping that as the menu evolves, the Corner will find its footing, and we're gonna give it another try. But after tonight, it feels like a constant favorite place is suddenly a little less reliable.Original review below (April, 2022)A staple of Banker's Hill and always a good spot for eats. The food is usually pretty good, as are the specials. There's a long list of unique and local taps as well, so always something fun to try. I honestly feel the Ribs are the best I've tried in the city. That sauce is next level.Wednesday night is Trivia Night - so get there early if you want to partake, or avoid entirely if you don't want the crowd as parking in the area can always be dicey.Sometimes I also feel the prices can vary or trend to a higher side. But I'm also writing this during the middle of the Russian invasion of Ukraine where prices are fluctuating a lot, so that might be the reason.

The food was pleasantly better than I had expected for a pub and reasonably priced. Lots of options. The fries were really good. Perfect crispy outside, soft inside. Also within reasonable walking distance to the Old Globe in Balboa Park.

I had the Tennessee Hot Chicken brunch item, with Dragon's Milk Punch cocktail (bulleit rye, mr. blacks cold brew liquor, pineapple, lemon, creme de cacao and milk). The chicken was tasty but the eggs were overcooked (well done when they should be somewhat runny). I enjoyed the sauce and the overall taste of it, but wish that there's one more piece of chicken. The cocktail is great! I love that it's not as milky as pictured on the menu. The staff said they managed to distill it in such a way it's clear. Not too sure what that means, but hey, I love it!

First off, I love the Corner Drafthouse, the staff is amazing, the selection is great, and we used to come here on average twice a week for that and the best food in any bar in town. Sadly, the menu changed and the quality did as well. The best sliders in town were here, now we‘ve tried 4 new restaurants, and have nothing that compared, so came back, got a burger, not as good as the sliders were. We also dearly miss the Tuesday tacos. We understand why the change came about, but would really wish for some if our favorites to return, and for the quality to go back to what it was. That is the only reason 1 star is missing. We will continue to swing by, even if only for beers if the menu stays the same, because we still love it! ☺️

This was a last-minute decision to try tonight. I am very pleased with the quality/quantity of the drinks. The food was good, and the serving sizes you get for the price is fair. The waitress did let me know my meal didn't come with fries, but that was expected as it wasn't listed as a side on the menu.Info about the bar. It does come with a foot rest. What was very surprising were the hidden knee pads built into the bar. They were very comfortable to have. They're placed in a way so your knees don't bump into the railings under the bar.Decorations were cute, and the music played were mostly 50a-70s. Overall, this was a very lovely location in downtown San Diego. If you're trying to get food, try arriving before 8:30, as that is roughly when the last call for food occurs.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Corner Drafthouse and was fortunate enough to have Lyndsy as my server. I must say, her insights on life were so profound that I have been contemplating the meaning of existence since this experience and questioning every decision I have made in my life up until this point. In fact, I have decided to retroactively name my first-born child after her, completely shocking everybody I know. Her attention to detail is unparalleled, and her service was unbelievably fast. But it was her incredible smile that truly made the experience unforgettable. It is the only reason me, my friends, my entire family, and everybody I know continue to frequent this establishment. When all my cards are down, the weight of the world is on my shoulders, and I feel depressed, Lyndsy is always there to make sure my cup is filled with premium alcohol (I'm conveniently within walking distance) and my bill is so expensive, It's worth every penny. If you're looking for a truly enlightening experience, both gastronomically and philosophically, I highly recommend visiting The Corner Drafthouse and requesting Lyndsy as your server.
