Rosie McCann's Irish Pub & Restaurant

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The place is beautiful, with a cozy and elegant atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help and make you feel welcome. The food is delicious, with a variety of dishes to suit every taste. The portions are generous and the presentation is impeccable. The music is melodious and relaxing, creating a perfect mood for a romantic dinner or a casual gathering. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. However, just one thing is that it took me around 20 mins for the food which I thought shouldn't take that long. Overall this restaurant is good for you to gather with friends.

The server was very friendly and prompt. I ordered the shepherd’s pie which was pretty good, but I think it would be better with beef brisket instead of ground beef. Recently I found out that shepherd’s pie is either beef or lamb. The burgers and fries were good with sizable portions as well. Note: when ordering the nachos, they have potatoes in place of the tortilla chips.

This restaurant has a beautiful interior design, with a lot of attention to detail. The food decoration is also impressive, making the dishes look appetizing and inviting. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was very tasty, with fresh ingredients and a crispy bread. However, the service was slow and I had to wait a long time for my order to arrive. The staff were polite but not very attentive. I think this restaurant could improve its service quality and speed to match its food quality and presentation. Overall, I will still come back here next time because of its cozy atmosphere and good food! <3

Such a cool vibe especially when the DJ comes (even on a week day) at night- it takes the vibes to a new level. Drinks were amazing also. Such a good time!

Came here for brunch on Sunday. Had to try the McCann’s Mule since it was Voted #1 Moscow Mule by Bartenders, 2016 and it was alright. There wasn’t any mint which bummed me out because HOW can it be #1 without mint?! But it was still bubbly and good.Service:Good. Nothing noteworthy of being either poor or exceptional. Our server/the bartender Julio was friendly and attentive. He checked in on us a minute into eating and made sure to get another side of ranch for the sandwich promptly which was awesome. He was also very friendly when we walked in. 5/5Food:Harp Lager Signature Fish & Chips - AMAZING. Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The outside was soft and flaky and the fish was thick and cooked perfectly. It melted in my mouth. 8/10California Chicken Sandwich (modified to my liking) with sweet potato fries - great sandwich. Everything was fresh; the avocado, lettuce and tomato. The bacon was cooked PERFECTLY, not too crispy which paired well with the crispy chicken. The only downside is that the crispy chicken had a bit too much oil leftover on it which soaked into the bread. The sweet potato fries were also really good. Thin and crispy and paired well with the sandwich. 8/10Atmosphere:Beautiful rustic bar feeling with authentic Irish touches making me feel like I’m in a rich getaway from the prohibition period. I was getting major Peaky Blinders vibes.Unfortunately it seemed to be pretty slow for how many people were around. I don’t know why it’s not busier. People should definitely come in and check this place out.All together, I would definitely come back. This is a hidden gem in plain sight. 4⭐️/5⭐️Note: One thing that bothered me greatly was a mandatory 5% charge for “living wage” for the staff. Why can’t this business pay their employees properly? Service industry employees make their “living wage” off of tips so why is there an additional charge for that? And DOES it go to the employees? Or does it go to the employer? Anyway; it just didn’t seem right with me but that’s my two cents.

Humbly Loved The Experience though it was a long wait time..it was a busy day to be fair.I feel it was worth the expense; the price was very reasonable for the nice sit-down experience and quality, in my opinion.Great ambience nice interior some beautiful paintings the Food was very tasty we had Brunch was yummy plentiful portions my wife and baby and I were well fed well taken care of.❤️ThanksI'd love to be back for positive good safe and real friends joy good drinksHappy Hour. 4-6pm or 9-11pm. Good nights.☮️❤️

Hands down the best place to have a good food, chill with friends and have a good time. Rosie got the best food, and service in Bay Area. And the manager Manuel knows how to keep a customer, very professional. You won’t regret it every one, you should definitely check out the place.

I really like this place but I was disappointed in the tacos I got. They were so good but the portion and meat-to-tortilla ratio was really lacking. Overall, good spot though.

If you're ever in San Jose, this is the best place to relax and eat some good food. Incredible hospitality!! You won’t regret coming here; always guaranteed a great time. Love the music and whole vibe. Everyone was very nice. The manager Manny is just amazing, knows how to keep his customers. Also, the Steak & Salmon is bomb! Would recommend this place 100%!!

Service was very slow, granted it was saint pattys day. Cover fee for a sit down restaurant is kind of a joke. Corned beef was average, potatoes and cabbage was foul, and the drinks sucked

perfectIt was dinner with a friend I met in America after 15 years.It can't be this fantastic.The detox salad we ordered and the New York steak are both fantastic, especially the steak, medium-rare and moderately grilled to keep it juicy.I ate outdoors, but I turned on the heater and moved it to a suitable location so I could spend time cool and not cold.The price is cheaper than other San Jose restaurants, but the atmosphere and food are much better.

I was there for the super bowl and they had a full house! Yet the service was fast and great. The cocktails are amazing. We tried 5 of them and it is difficult to pick a favorite but I recommend the Spicy Blackberry Margarita and the Irishman. Definitely will go again ?

On a recent trip through San Jose my wife and I stopped at an Irish pub and to our surprise the food was delicious beyond flavorful and the service excellent. We got some shepherds pie and an Irish stew and decided to skip the dessert there just was not any room to have anything else after such a wonderful meal. Highly recommend it it is easy to find easy to park and the service was outstanding.

Have been here several times, weeks apart. For some reason they hire an unimpressive “Dj” to play his same early 2000’s hip hop and pop Pandora playlist. In this economy they better step their game up. Can’t speak on the food, but if their music is any indication, it ain’t good.

The only Irish thing in that bar is the Guinness. Just don't go there expecting the ambiance of an Irish pub. Finally they didn't let my 55 year old friend because he didn't have California ID (he was visiting from out of state). You'd think they could use some common sense. When there is nowhere else to go for a beer, i guess that place works. I went there several years ago and had a totally different experience. Sorry to report a bad experience

Juan is an awesome server. Food and drinks were great, wings, Irish nachos, fish and chips, peach sangria among other food and drinks. Great atmosphere friendly attentive staff our table was always cleaned quickly and food was served hot. Second time there brought the family from out of town this time they loved it as well. Apple dessert was superb as well.

Me and a friend always go here after we have visited the spa and get a little something to eat. The employee's there are very nice and helpful, food good but a little pricey so we split our meals and it's just the right amount to eat.

Took my daughter to Rosie McCanns for dinner while we were out shopping. She ordered bangers and mash which was really delicious. I ordered sliders and fries which were also amazing. Service was a little slow. The real drawback was the volume. Multiple games were on and even though we were seated in the back room with no TVs in sight, the speakers were playing sports and really loud commercials. It made it hard to talk. I'd come back, but only after checking what games might be on.

Went for a few Irish coffees with work friends.. the staff was so kind and hospitable. I needed to take an impromptu Zoom meeting, they gave me a place to sit in the back and offered to turn the music down for me. I would recommend anyone to come visit for great drinks, food, and people :)

Beautiful restaurant don't think I saw any Irish motif used to decorate the inside. To be fair it was very empty there it was a week before Christmas not much going on it was lunch time however I think there was two other couples in there it was a Wednesday before Christmas. I had the fish and chips absolutely no flavor not crispy enough for my liking. My friend had the lamb stew he said it was okay neither of us finished our meals. The drinks were fine I had a black and tan just bored nicely. Service was fine. The waiters seemed a little too eager to take everything off the table and reached across us a few times while we were eating all wait staff know that this is a big No-No. Think it was a little overpriced because it was in Santana row. Parking is ridiculous. I'll pass on returning to both the restaurant and Santana row.

We always go here for dinner every other Thursday night. The food is excellent and and the service is also very prompt.They also have a happy hour which starts on 8 pm on Thursday night.We ordered Fish and chip, Calamari, Quesada and the crab cakes. They all were delicious, I really enjoyed the fish and chips.

So I'm taking a couple stars off here first for the food as it was entirely mediocre. Second for the atmosphere. As enormous as the place is with high ceilings and wide open spaces it does not have the feel of any Irish pub I've ever visited in Ireland.
