Great spot to grab a drink/beer, but have to order food at the bar. Perfectly reasonable. While this location has pizza, the other Brit location (Almaden) has friendly wait staff/more space

Great being back at Britania Arms and listening to live performances again!! We came to see Josh Diamonds perform! The owner, Tommy, was amazing and super sweet! Loved his opening speech reminding everyone we have to be safe and wear masks when indoors at the bar and walking around. We could take them off at our tables. Great food, too! Loved the Fish and Chips! Tommy and Pedro (bar tender) were also super accommodating. My sister surprised us and brought an ice cream cake because we were also celebrating our mom's 67th birthday! I asked Pedro if they happened to have paper plates, plasticwear, napkins and a knife to cut and serve our huge party of 20+ people. He didn't hesitate to help!! We were very appreciative of their excellent service! Such nice people! Can't wait to return! Thank you, Tommy and Pedro, for making our night such a memorable one. ???

Stopped in with a buddy for drinks and a round of pool Wednesday night. Nice place. Lady behind the bar was wonderful. Guinness was poured well. Fish and chips were very good. Will stop by again if I stay in the area

Was back in CA for a trip. Used to go to the Brittania Arms in the 80's. Wow has this pub gone down in atmosphere and tradition. Nothing like the ol' pub. So sad.

I go with my family a couple times a month.. (where there so often that they know the order when we get out of the car....or where missing a person)They make amazing food and the customer service is top notch... makes you feel like your at your family members for lunch... every visit..

Everything was pretty good, but slightly on the salty side, which would be fine if you had a beer next to you. Typical "pub" type fare. If you've been to England, you know Indian food is pretty big there, so the addition of those items wasn't a particular surprise.

Nice wide bar, complete with bar kitchen and British food fare, they also have a patio thanks to covid,So now the bar can host twice the amount of people it used to host,Has a couple pool tables and a juke box, & events weekly.

The cook Mike showed outstanding customer service our order was wrong he drove it personally to our hotel. Thanks again Mike for going above n beyond to fix our order. Oh and not to mention the food was great!

We had a quesadilla and fish and chips they were both amazing. Also I love that the food came quickly and arrived super hot and fresh. Also I really enjoyed watching the soccer game playing on one of the TVs above the bar. If you want to bring your dogs they are allowed at outside seating. Without dogs there is plenty of insight seating as well. I hope to go back again next time I am in town.

4 stars - for the service, otherwise vibes & food were a solid 3.5 starsMy sister and I came here around 5PM on a Thursday and the place was empty apart from a few regulars camped out. The interior of the place is typical sports bar and sports bar levels of unkempt, nothing out of the ordinary. But they have a pretty nice patio seating arrangement (dog friendly) so we got a table outside.You're meant to order at the bar, but while we were looking at the menu the bartender came up to us and said he'd be happy to take the order at our table since there wasn't any other business. He was prompt and friendly and made an effort to have two youngish women feel comfortable & less out of place, which I appreciate. 4 stars are for you my guy.The menu had typical British fare but also randomly an entire section for street tacos and burritos. We ended up getting the Fish & Chips Combo, Veggie Pizza, and a cup of the Clam Chowder.Fish & Chips Combo - 5 stars. Oof. It came out hot, the fries were crispy and perfect, everything seasoned well... we wished we'd gotten two orders after the first bite.Veggie Pizza - 3.5 stars. Crust was thin and crispy as we like, good sauce to cheese ratio, but for whatever reason the veggies were cut in an absurd manner - mushrooms were diced to smithereens but the onions were MASSIVE. You could expect to just chow down on an onion every other bite.Clam Chowder - 1 star. Flavor was there, a little heavy on the salt, but the texture was so deeply offensive we barely ate any. It was as though the "soup" (it can't be called a soup, it was entirely solid) had no cream and only cornstarch. Super weird. Can still feel it in my mouth. Don't want to think about it.Food was a bit hit or miss, but I'd go back for the excellent Fish & Chips and the promise of live music.

This was my go to for fish and chips back in college. The place looks like it's not very well taken care of anymore and it seems as if the BAR is more the focus these days then the food service. That being said, they still have one of the best fish and chips I've ever had and would go back again just for that.

I've been coming here for 30 years. It's a great spot. Good food, good people, good atmosphere. Good place to watch sports especially soccer. They have a good outside covid setup.. TV outside. Ventilation.. Heat.

1st time coming here and it was a blast. I celebrated my birthday here and everyone was super nice and pleasant! All the Staff and Bartenders were amazingly awesome. It made my birthday memorable. Thank you everyone, You guys Rock!I had whiskey sour with Jameson (of course), sister had a lemon drop and my friend enjoyed Gin on the rocks. Overall the drinks was wonderful, then we ordered food. I had the fish sandwich with chips (fries), sister pawns and chips (fries) and fish and chips (fries) for my friend. Overall the food and flavor was delicious. The crispy outer layer of the fish and pawns were cooked properly and perfectly; all of the chips were steak fries and the portions was very generous!They have a pool table for 1$ a game; there is a jukebox you can play some music, 5$ gives you 12 credits. The atmosphere and decor was fun and spacious to follow 6ft requirements.Overall experience was fun and memorable, thank you Britannia Arms for everything!

Beautifully redone!!! Super clean! My husband and I had lunch there this afternoon. It was a real treat!!! We could only sit outdoors, fish and chips we're amazing. I had cider and my husband had a pint of lager. Sherry our server was a delight and we got a chance to meet I believe the owner Dave. Wonderful staff just really really great experience. Every time I go to Home Depot I'm going to stop by Britannia Arms!

I have a great time singing karaoke with Robbie on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. I hear that Thursday's open mic night has lots of guests. Tuesdays also has a trivia competition and Brazilian drumming outside. On the weekends there's live music. Glen is a great bartender! There are pool tables, darts and pinball. There's lots of room for larger parties.

Classic bar with liquor and some decent beers. I wish the selection of beers on tap was better because we're spoiled in California. I'd love to see some Russian River, Henhouse, armistice or some local beers. I don't want to drink Budweiser out of the tap ?‍♂️. I'd go back to play pool and watch some sharks hockey or catch an earthquakes game!

Service was not great and the food was mediocre at best. The other two locations are great but the one in Cupertino is just awful. We might be back but it's not looking good.

South San Jose/Almaden unfortunately doesn’t have a lot of night life. This makes the Brit a go to place. The food is bland (but it is British food, which isn’t known for its spicy ness) and it’s very loud. It’s great to go to if you don’t want to talk to whomever you’re with.

I was here to listen to the Jazz Band, and visit with some of the regular patrons. My friend had a couple of Blue Moon beers. I drank iced tea. We split an order of fries. The drinks were good, and the fries were great. I asked for mayonnaise to dip the fries in, and was given a small container with a heaping tablespoon of mayo.When we got the bill, I was surprised to see that I was charged $1.00 for the mayo. Do they charge for mayo on a hamburger?Our server was not well trained. He could not do two things at the same time, so service was slow. Another waiter checked on us and got me a refill, as our waiter not once checked if their was anything needed. My friend wanted a second beer. I tried to flag our waiter down. It took 20 minutes before I was able to get his attention.The atmosphere is friendly and warm. They are having a 38 year anniversary party on Feb 2nd. I look forward to attending, and getting back in touch with customers I knew back 30+ years ago.

A great bar to see live music. I live an hour away in Walnut Creek but come regularly to see my favorite Bon Scott era AC/DC tribute band - Long Gon Bon! ALWAYS a great show and great time.

Always a fun time at the Brit.! The crowd is usually the 20-30's something's but live music will draw the "older" crowd ?Place is huge since they expanded! Fish and chips is my go to...it's a pub! Duh! Darts Pool etc...

Our drinks where to be expected as far as price, but when we ordered our dinner/food... they didn't get it right, we where missing "chips" from fish and I had ordered a Corndog. Prices Are To Pricey for the Service... I did enjoy the Band on a Friday Night, but the Food Service needs Help !!!

Great British food: Fish & chips, Bangers & Mash, Chips(wedge fries),Relatively cheap bar with tons of british beers and a few domestic. Fresh Guiness always. Lagers like Harp. Ales like Boddingtons.I spend lots of time here its a chill place.

We recently went to England. So had to try their cottage pie and fish and chips. Very good on both counts. My wife said the pie could have used more veggies, but that is probably an American thing. :-)

The closest pub to me and great for watching games. They seem to have trouble getting a cook available. I came in to watch a game at lunch time and we couldn't order any food. The service was pretty good. I've usually had problems with some servers forgetting orders, being very slow in general. They are usually out in the bar area hanging out with patrons. There is outside seating where it's great to watch World Cup. All in all, I like the place, but it does have some things to improve.

The Brit is one of the great staples of Santa Clara county pub life. Truly a place where you can become extended family and make lifetime friends. Great darts, live bands, an eclectic hosting of drafts and import bottle and canned refreshments that can satisfy that drifting need for familiar flavors and environment that can plague even the most weathered of travelers.Patty, is one of the finest bartenders and people I have had the honor of being friends with. It had been 17 years since I last stopped in and we were thick as thieves from the start. A blessing for sure, to be remembered, welcomed and treated fondly.

Been coming since 1981. Great place. Their 37th Anniversary party was great. Food drinks and the Nigel and glive band was excellentGreat evening. Glad to see the original owners still around. Have foosball,darts,pool,and plenty of TV s.Recommend to anyone.

Love this place when you want to have a close and personal experience with friends / family and artist you love to hear when they perform. The bartenders are slow and can be rude at times. But that didn't stop me from having a GREAT time....never have never will.

The decor is a hodge podge of a mess. The place was empty when we went there. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. You can tell things are old and need updating. But overall not a bad place to spend an hour or so drinking and eating bar food.
