The server was the highlight of this restaurant.I ordered chicken strips meal & the classic burger with garlic fries. Little did I know there would be raw garlic just tossed on top.My kids got chocolate milk which neither of them wanted to finish as they are used to me melting Ghirardelli chocolate. ($4 for this tiny milk!)Overpriced for the ingredients & quality.

I ordered a stack of pancakes and biscuits and gravy. I've been out in San Diego for about 3 weeks don't know why I didn't think about this place for breakfast basically every where I went there pancakes were horrible an tasted like box mix here they are big,fluffy and I just want to have more I don't know about the rest of there food but if pancakes were great I can't imagine there food not to be too

Sadly, they were understaffed in the AM as the second waitress was late and the place overwhelmed the only server. The kitchen took way too long to produce our order, and actually se to out orders that were after us before ours. Those to diner groups finished their food and paid before we got our food. The serving sizes were small considering the prices.My order was completely wrong when it was delivered, but the turnaround was quick to get it resolved.Gravy for biscuits was sweet, not my jam... I prefer a more savory version, but others may like it.We chose elsewhere for breakfast the second day rather than go to Bunz.You'll get food, but there are many better choices available.

Not a bad joint to have a quick bite to eat, and even if its next to a small hotel. This curvy road journey led to a tasty burger and some magical garlic fries. A little heavy on the cheese but overall, i was impressed and the staff is amazing.

Cozy little nook attached to a nearby hotel. We stopped in for breakfast after a walk at Mission Beach. Simple menu with comfort food and friendly staff. Service was fast and the food was tasty. A little pricey, but comparable for the area. Will go again!

Bunz located in the days inn car park in San Diego is a great little spot for breakfast, I ate here everyday for the week I was in San Diego.Highly reccomend the old fashion breakfast. The food was amazing and great service

we stayed at the motel around this place so it was awesome to be able to walk downstairs to grab a bite to eat....breakfast was awesome...definetly get your moneys worth....and the burgers are huge and the onion rings were delicious...staff was awesome and very friendly

Good burgers but lacking on toppings. Good fries, tasted fresh cut. A little pricey. Nice outside eating area. They are the Days Inn restaurant. Would go here again only because it was convenient.

Unfortunately, I won't be ordering from here again. The service is atrocious. Not sure who the owner is, but they need to hire someone to find a way on how to motivate the staff. That, or sell the business.

While on vacation from AZ we stayed at a nearby hotel and this place was walking distance and the reviews were good so we tried it out! I had the bacon cheddar burger, fries and a strawberry shake!! The burger was juicy and the first bite I tasted the smokiness of the bacon and I could tell the veggies were fresh and great quality. The French fries were hot, crispy and seasoned to perfection! The shake was delicious and drinkable. Not to thick!! My fiancé had the steak and penne pasta and he loved it. The steak was tender, the mushrooms and pasta were cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious.. unfortunately we were so hungry and the food was so good that we forgot to take pictures!! The service was AMAZING! I didn’t get the gentlemen’s name but he was doing everything greeting, taking order, waiting and bussing tables, great job ?

Small Restaurant in the parking lot of Days Inn. The service and food was great. We had wings, onion rings and Bbq chicken salad. Everything we had a very good. Would definetly go there again.

I ordered a burger and banana dessert for pickup today. The burger was small and mediocre. It wasn’t bad, just wasn’t great. It came by itself with no side. The banana desert was frozen. I ended up paying nearly $20 for a single mediocre burger and frozen drink. Eh. I’d say not worth the money.

This restaurant is right next to the hotel I stayed at so thought I would give it a shot. Waitress was very sweet and they have some decent local beers on tap. Ordered the patty melt with grilled chicken breast and it was okay. The bread was supposed to be griddled but it looked like maybe it was lightly toasted, wasn't a fan but I suppose it depends on what you order here.

Stopped in for lunch. Breath of fresh air. Burger and fries tasted great. Beer was nice and cold. Sat outside, nice and clean. Prices are reasonable too. Don't forget Happy Hour too.

Do yourself a favor. Come in, sit down, grab a drink and a burger! Very good place for a quick burger. If you order the garbage/loaded fries invite a friend they are large

Me and the girlfriend are here when staying at the hotel. We had traditional Buffalo wings, beer battered onion rings, and we each had a three little pigs burger, finished with a smothered brownieThe wings and onion rings were excellent. The beer was local and chilled. The brownie was awesomeThe burgers were the absolute best we have ever had in our lives. The burger bacon pulled pork and ham all came together and the beef was cooked perfectly. Honestly if you come here just get that. So amazing

Have been there a few times. Service has been getting better since Covid opened it back to 100%. Parking is OK. Nice people and the kids love the food. Hamburgers really are good. My son says the spicy chicken sandwich is the best. Give them a try and you will be surprised.

My husband and I needed a place to eat between appointments, and Bunz happened to be perfectly located. I had seen the sign for Bunz under the I-8 for many years so I suggested we try it. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but for some reason I wasn’t expecting the food to be as good as it was. That was one of the juiciest burgers I have ever had. I got the All-American burger with no cheese. I usually order a basic burger so I can really taste the flavor of the burger. Wow! I must have inhaled it, it was great, from the toasted bun to the juicy patty. Yum diddy yum yum, fantastic.Our server, Kalaisia, was so genuinely friendly, sweet, and happy we enjoyed our food. She was a sheer pleasure.The place is clean and no-nonsense with a simple menu. Next time, I might try the hot dog, but that burger is going to be hard to turn down.

I have to say it, this place was delicious and yummy. The burger (The American Classic) was very tasty. The fires was also yummy cook to good temperature. Staff were friendly and polite. Would recommend. To people staying at the inn next door I recommend. Or if you want to try it out and passing by go for it.

This place was great. Staying next door at hotel for flight home, went in, customer service was good, very quick. Food was probably one of the best burgers I've had all year, and the monkey madness was delicious. Keep it up you guys.

It's a small hole in the wall place that was next door to our hotel. We went there for the convenience but I would return for the food. Plus, despite the fact he was the only one there due to the holiday, our server got our food out astonishingly quickly and was attentive to us even as he prepared pickup and to-go orders.

Dedicated staff ...made us feel right at on Christmas eve 2022.Tried the crying the Blues burger and beer battered onion rings with fries of course. Deeelicius.. They had reopened the restaurant from 5pm until 8:30 just for a few hrs that night...Needless to say I left a hefty tip..

We tried three different sandwiches. Each one had what tasted like unseasoned meat. I wanted to substitute pickled jalapenos with regular jalapenos. They don't have regular jalapenos. They have a t-shirt that you can buy for $20 that says it takes two hands to handle my buns. The hamburger I had was small and was a one-hander. For a restaurant that lists shakes on its sign I would expect more than three flavors of shakes. I didn't try one. Their fries were very average. Next time I'll go to Five Guys which is 1.9 mi away on University Ave.

tacked on to the hotel it offers a modest option in an area with little else in walking distance. menu is limited but most people should find somethimg to try. service varied wildly from quite good to so bad people were walking out. if you've been traveling all day and want a simple meal it will do the job. closed on Mondays.

My first visit I would have rated this a 5. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Jamie was one of the best servers I've had in a long while. Friendly, and on top of everything!We went back for breakfast the next day and it was completely different. There were far fewer customers than the night before but the service was so slow we eventually had to leave before getting our food.
